Another update! We've finished development on Rok now, and are finishing up testing. Although we are more or less done with the game for the year, we have decided to wait until after the Christmas period to release Rok. It's a very busy time of the year, and competition will be stiffer than usual for the app store. We are instead choosing to release in January, when it's a little quieter, and maybe people will have brand new iPads that they got for Christmas to play the game on We have been dreadful at hitting our milestones, announcing a date, then being late, time and time again. I can confidently say that this time, we will be releasing in January. We will be releasing videos between now and then showcasing different areas of gameplay. We attended Play Expo in Manchester, UK and got great feedback. Here is an interview I did with Battle Misfit about the game: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Thanks for your patience! Stitch Games.
We're currently in the hands of Apple. We have submitted the game to them, and now await their acceptance. In the meantime, we are also looking at localisation. We don't want to announce a specific date, but I can say that it will be very soon, within the month of March. I will make another post detailing the release date as soon as we're certain.
any new trailer for this dev? it does look good on the last video, just wondering how it looks after the final development.
The only new trailer we've made recently is the App Store trailer, which we're saving for launch We do have a few more screenshots that we haven't posted here yet, here you go: Thanks!
Hey guys, we're still awaiting a few more translations, and then we need to implement them. Depending on how fast we get those, the game could release in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, here are a couple videos that showcase different areas of the game. Thanks raravan! We have chosen not to include iPhone as of right now, because the screen size is just too small. The game is too fiddly for such small screen space. We may take a look at the 6plus, but only if we feel that there is sufficient room on screen. Some objects are quite small even on iPad, and would just be impossible to interact with on iPhone.
Hey everyone, we have finally finished development (honestly, we have) and have now finally got localisation finished also, the game's text, including subtitles have all been translated into French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Japanese, and Chinese. We have submitted to Apple and are now waiting..
We've just finished a short video, in which I show Rok to family and friends for the first time since development had finished. Although it features Rok, the main focus is on what it's like to show people something you have worked on for so long, how they receive your work, and just the overall feelings of finally wrapping up a project. Please enjoy 'Release'. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Finally, we have a release date! JUNE 2ND Rok is priced at £2.99/$3.99/3.99 and is optimised for iPad 4 & iPad mini 2 and above. Here is the app store trailer, it was cool to cram as much action into a 30 second clip. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
The game has finally gone live on the App Store! So exciting, we hope you enjoy it. USA: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rok/id963246470?ls=1&mt=8 UK: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/rok/id963246470?ls=1&mt=8
