So I've been having a hankering for some good roguelikes on the iPhone. I already have Sword of Fargoal and 100 Rogues and was looking at The Isle of 8-Bit Treasures. Does anybody have any suggestions for good roguelike games or other dungeon crawlers?
Undercroft is a dungeon crawler/rpg in the same first person, turn-based style as Eye of the Beholder. Doom 2 RPG and Wolfenstein RPG are also similar.

ASCII art doesn't cut it for me nowadays. I'll have to look those up when I get home. Any particulars that look gorgeous or are more action based/ easier on newcomers? I bought the following so far: 1. Rogue Touch <-- first love on iOS 2. Sword of Fargoal 3. 100 Rogues Wishlist for iOS (any devs interested?): 1. DoomRL 2. Desktop Dungeons 3. But I think it would be difficult to show the entire map/plan your moves like in the original. Also- they should totally port Shiren the Wanderer/Mystery Dungeon. CommanderData Well-Known Member Patreon Indie Nov 2, 2008 1,198 20 38 http://www.ChronoSoft.com #19 CommanderData, Aug 11, 2010 Thanks for the vote for Rogue Touch, SurgE! I agree with you and SkyMuffin that Desktop Dungeons would be excellent on the iDevices. I'd take a shot at porting it if the folks at QCF Design would let me! I think it was made with a PC tool like Game Maker, but I'd take the game design of Desktop Dungeons and write it from scratch to play best on the iPhone and iPad if given the opportunity. Also- Shiren the Wanderer would be *killer* on the iPhone! Since I doubt it would ever happen I started working on Spirit Hunter Mineko, which should have enough similarities to Shiren and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon to please most people Still wouldn't rule out porting Angband someday, but I need to get a couple more games of my own completed first! Looks like it'll appear on the iPhone pretty soon. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
