Played for a while. Liked it at first but then I found there was definitely a couple of features missing. I just found myself dying, warping to last floor, luckily descend to the next, die, repeat. -the class system is weird. -more starting classes -possibility to replace cards in hand -power-up, boosts or whatever 148apps review is quite accurate IMHO. I think that review was overly harsh if you ask me. It’s Blackjack so if course it’s a game of chance. It says there’s no way to customize your deck. Well, duh, it’s Blackjack not a collectible card game. Do agree it could use better progression and find items repeating themselves too often. But overall, it’s exactly what I would expect from a Blackjack dungeon crawler and well done at that.
I mostly appreciate Campbell Bird's reviews because they're subjectively critical and he doesn't sugarcoat things, but there's a difference between being our good ol' Carter "3.5" Dotson (every day I miss you even though we communicate every day ), and turning away gamers from every single game that isn't perfect. Critical is one thing, overly critical is something completely different.
True but Void Tyrant is a good example of Black Jack mixed with other genre. Maybe it’s just me wanting more than what it is. After a couple of minutes I’m just getting bored and don’t see why I should open the app. 3/5 seems like a fair review. 3.5/5 at best. It’s all a matter of taste I suppose, meh.

Bumping this thread, which I assume is cool for big-ish updates. I know a bunch of folks in this thread asked for swipe controls, and now they are in there. There's probably a little tweaking between tablet swipes and phone swipes, so if you play that way, let me know how it feels. There's some big changes in game-play too... Weapons drop if you don't equip them, making the level a sort of inventory system. New monsters, a whole new Spaceman class, since early versions. Anyway, here we go! Here Be Dragons Update! The swipe controls on the large iPad Pro are spread too far apart. You need to keep moving your hand up/down/left/right, rather than just your finger for the swipe to register.
