Hey guys. As VirtualBoyFreak and Truncana have mentioned, Rogues update should now be live everywhere. This should fix the annoying stuttering bug some people have been experiencing. Ive snuck in some gameplay and weapons tweaks along with a few bonus credit heavy delivery missions and news items. The games price has also been discounted for a week to $1.99 to celebrate. There are a few users around the globe who Id like to thank for their help during the testing period. Im very grateful for their time, thanks guys. Kanin Athros TinaT Putzy Lastly, because of the bug hunt following the initial versions release, I didnt have time to detail all the new features that Rogue has had added. Expect me to remedy this over the next few days. Captain out and once again, I really appreciate peoples patience while I tracked the bug down. I know how disappointing and annoying they are.
Hey everyone. As promised heres my first post detailing the new version's additions. Hopefully itll serve to get veterans playing again and maybe entice new citizens to take the plunge! One of the biggest additions is the complete overhaul of the game's difficulty. This took by far the longest to complete and hopefully addresses the concerns of those of you who felt the game was too hard. Every ship has had its values edited and AI routines adjusted. Mission settings, cargo settings, sector settings, weapons settings, you name it settings... theres been a lot changed. Complimenting this rebalancing, is the introduction of 2 difficulty levels, Normal and Classic. Normal sees a general lowering of a lot of settings and a later introduction for some of the more aggressive AI combat routines. Classic effectively preserves the original release's values and settings, while retaining the new difficulty curve. Note: Eagle eyed players will notice that pilots playing on Classic difficulty are awarded bravery medals (Vaskr Stars) in their Captain's Log. This is the only way to achieve those medals. Another significant feature of the update, is the chance of having your cargo recovered when you get destroyed. This means that you may be fortunate and not lose your cargo, instead having it returned to you when you are dropped off at the sector station. Dont depend on this happening all the time tho! Pirates usually do a very good job of pilfering cargo after their attacks, especially in more hostile sectors. Thats it for now, Ill post the last info dump when I next grab a moment. Keep blasting.
Hey everyone, heres the remaining version update information. Firstly a small bonus announcement. I managed to sneak in limited Mfi controller support. I say limited because Ive not been able to test it works in all situations and devices. Therefore Id like to make it clear that this is an unofficial feature. However if you have a controller, feel free to connect it up and give it a go! Heres the mappings. Okay, on to the official features. Complimenting the overall game balancing is the new predictive target assist feature. This highlights good firing solutions when enemies are correctly lined up. The crosshair will flash red when youre in the groove. Alongside this feature, autofire has also been enabled. This is vessel specific, so experiment with different ships to see which suits your style. Next, a ton of new delivery missions have been created, which offer some very tasty credit rewards. Beware though, as some of them are only tasty because they are deliveries to dangerous sectors..! There are also loads more news articles to read detailing story titbits. Lastly, theres a joypad sensitivity feature which allows you to play with the settings. Its located in the Options menu. Thats your lot. Oh, and remember the discount period ends this Thursday!
Whit all these new features I suggest everyone who doesn't has bought it yet, to go buy this masterpiece asap!!!
Thanks guys, I appreciate your support. Forgive the plug everyone, but don’t forget if you like the game, please consider giving it a review on the app store. Store reviews are a really important way to increase a title’s visibility.
Keep up the good work. I tried it last night using Horipad and find that the ship movement is the left thumb stick, not the D-pad. I am not sure if it is just my controller or not. And the GUI does not respond to any controller movement but I can live with that
Thanks for the feedback currymutton. Ah yes that would make sense as the horis directional pad and thumb stick are oriented ps style. The GUI one is odd however. Does the left shoulder button not work at all during flight? #
Well I mean 1. rather than the D-pad, it is the left thumb stick doing the movements and 2. the GUI button works but that's it. I cannot select the entries using the controller. Have to resort to touch screen, i.e.
