I'm not sure how I missed the bus on this one, but I gladly picked it up today for $.99. I was very worried when I heard that some people were having stuttering issues, but I have been playing for about an hour with no problems whatsoever on my Iphone 6 version 8.4.1. Really liking the feel of this game a lot and I'm looking forward to exploring the galaxy!

Everything's fine for me too, but I was in the same situation as you. My device is an iPhone 4S (JB) with iOS 7.1.2, in case it helps. I don't think the slowdown bug has to do with the game progress, but with certain devices and iOS versions. As far as I can see in the thread, it happens on the most modern devices, but not on old ones.

The only bug I've encountered is that when I put the phone in portrait mode, the screen rotates, as you can see on the image. @Captain_Jim I guess someone forgot to switch off the "allow rotate" switch in the update ;)

Hi guys. Thanks for downloading the update and for those of you that have purchased the game for the first time.

Unfortunately there does appear to be a bug which is causing odd screen juddering. :( We’re trying to locate the problem so please bear with us. It looked like it may only occur on devices running iOS 9.2, but if some of you are experiencing it on other versions then that needs to be looked at as well.

In the meantime if you haven’t already updated, please hold off doing so for now. If you have, then a short term work around for this is to exit the app, double click the home button and swipe the game from memory. Upon restarting Rogue and continuing, the issue should have resolved itself. However the bug may occur again, so this isn’t a permanent solution.

Massive apologies for this. Rest assured we’re doing everything we can to track the problem down. Please feel free to let me know if you're experiencing the issue, along with the device and OS you're running. Any information helps in these instances and is much appreciated.

I agree that it isn't associated with iOS 9.2. My iPad Mini 2 is running the latest OS and haven't had any issues yet.

EDIT: Scratch that. Played for a while longer and then it started to bug out on me so maybe it is iOS 9.2 related.

iOS 9.2 on both of mine. Also the fix worked, and I was able to continue playing.

If you want some help testing, I'm willing!

Cool, congrats on that 4th place! :) I'm sure they'll fix it too, as they did with the savegame issue. Unfortunately it won't arrive before the App Store closure... At least there's a workaround to play meanwhile.

Freakin' excited for the update. Adore the game, but, man, it was a bit too tough before.

Thanks for your patience guys. We’re working hard to pin this judder issue down and right now it does appear to be iOS version related. However currently it’s proving difficult to replicate consistently for us.

Could I ask for people who are experiencing the issue to post the 'exact' iOS point version they’re running? This would help us a lot to eliminate safe versions and find out exactly where the problem stems from.

    Thanks everyone.

I got it in the first mission on ios 9.2, Ipad Air. Every time I got within...maybe two, thirty degrees of the waypoint, it went all, yeah, juddery. Couldn't progress onwards without restarting. Excellent game, though.

My iPad Mini 2 is 8.x and I get the same issue. So, probably not OS related.

I don't fully agree. I think it has to do with iOS versions, and not with one, but with several. Maybe we can help by defining which ones work and which ones don't. What does your X in the iOS version stand for? Atm, mine (7.1.2) works fine.
