A very open-ended class system and a crafting system allows incredible customization, so whether you want to play an ice witch, a fighter-druid or a dual-wielding halfing bard who is devoted to a demon lord, your character is up to you. THREE WAYS TO PLAY: SOLO, DUO AND PARTY MODE Would you rather have a true roguelike experience? Solo mode grants special benefits including extra bonus levels for your character. Don't want a full party? True Duo mode to see how far you can get with two characters. DON'T BE AFRAID TO RUN! In true roguelike fashion, death is permanent if your fellow party members can't get to you in time. Sometimes, failure is better than death. MULTIPLE END-GAME BOSSES Instead of a single boss mob waiting for you in the deepest depths of the dungeon, you will be charged with defeating 9 bosses, each with increasing difficulty. MASSIVE CUSTOMIZATION With over 250 unique abilities, 8 gods and the ability to craft weapons, shields, armor, holy symbols and magical staffs, there are almost infinite possibilities for combining different types of characters within the party. * * * Acknowledgments: Many of the graphics in this game were purchased from Pioneer Valley Games. If anyone has played one of my roguelike games (Endless Depths, Endless Adventure, etc.), this game is basically Endless Quest with the Quest part stripped out to focus on dungeon crawling. Endless Quest was just too much for one person to support, so I have been hesitant to add to it. Of course, there is a lot new in Rogue Party as well. The two biggies are a crafting system that will allow you to plan out what weapons/armor/etc. your character will use and a religion system that determines what prayers are available for cleric-types. Here's a writeup on what's new: https://www.nations-software.info/2020/12/23/whats-new-in-rogue-party/ The Android version should be out as soon as they finish reviewing it. The game is free/ad-supported. The ad for choosing custom avatars will only play once per game session, so you won't be bombardd during character creation. The other ad plays when a dungeon level is loaded and only plays once every 10 dungeon levels. I estimate this would be once every hour. I dislike games that bombard with ads as much as the next person, so I'm trying to balance it so there is hope of some type of revenue while not being annoying. Any IAP would probably be tied to buying adventure points, but any purchase would also turn off ads. Right now I'm more focused on cleaning up some bugs I've found since releasing it so when the App Store starts the review process again (they take a break at christmas), I'll have a new version ready to submit. stubbieoz and PewPewOnYou like this. MORE IMPORTANTLY- it’s the type of game we’ve wanted him to make!! Solo, duo, AND party modes!!! Downloading now... PewPewOnYou Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2020 108 38 28 Male USA #6 PewPewOnYou, Dec 26, 2020 Option to purchase premium version (no ads) always gets my money. Really happy to see this direction! havlen Well-Known Member Jan 2, 2014 57 7 8 #7 havlen, Dec 29, 2020 The first update went live earlier today. This fixes a major bug that can pop up when a character reaches level 12+ and another bug where characters who choose Devoted but don't choose a Cleric ability at character creation can get locked out of cleric abilities until they completely close the game and come back in. Other than that, just some minor adjustments. The religion system was something I thought of just 6 weeks ago. I've always liked the idea of non-clerics being able to get some powers through worship by being faithful followers, but that wouldn't be so thrilling with the old system of choosing just Holy, Unholy or Nature. I also always wanted a cultist-style class. Thus, the God system was born. One cool thing about Demon Lord cultists is that they can transform parts of their body to grow fangs, claws and a tail with a chance at an extra attack when they swing at an opponent. This also turns the character red. Jstorm Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2020 1,082 474 83 Male Employed Earth #8 Jstorm, Dec 31, 2020 Is there a way to gather gold on a character? I don’t see the point spreading coins between characters when there is no barter skill. Grungebob Well-Known Member Jul 10, 2010 129 4 18 #9 Grungebob, Jan 1, 2021 Question: What benefit is there to choosing the atheist/agnostic designation? havlen Well-Known Member Jan 2, 2014 57 7 8 #10 havlen, Jan 4, 2021 Atheist/Agnostic is purely cosmetic. I thought about adding some bonus, but that would have to be tied to the Faithful trait and it wouldn't make sense. But I didn't want to force people to choose a god, so I offered that up. Gold trading is something I may have to add in at some point. The lack of being able to trade gold among players comes from Endless Adventure when you could have many characters and multiple parties spread across the various towns. I didn't want people loading up a lvl 1 with a bunch of gold to twink newbies. (Also why you can't travel back to previous towns in that game.). Makes little sense now, but I'm so used to it that I totally forgot about it. I just keep the various gems and treasures on characters rather than selling them and then trade those around if I need to raise the gold needed to upgrade my weapon or armor. mgambino Well-Known Member Aug 13, 2014 159 95 28 #11 mgambino, Jan 4, 2021 Any plans on a portrait view option? It kinda gives me the feeling of playing Wizardly from the top down perspective. I am on my 4th party, and the current party being quite successful with reaching lvl18. Aside from the gold trading issue, the game seems to be in need of some balancing, especially the chanting skill where the Earthmother’s holy chant being objectively better than that of other gods with its heal. Another issue is that crafted items seem to be missing buff/debuff texts. For example, crafted metal armors have -25% electricity resistance like metal armors purchasable by gold, but its not shown in the item description. Also, the tap move mode has problems with skill selection pop up (see attached) Attached Files: 808B19D3-D0AA-4B17-9B4E-BA106D552F82.png File size: 1.7 MB Views: 9 havlen Well-Known Member Jan 2, 2014 57 7 8 #13 havlen, Jan 20, 2021 The newest update should be out now. Right now dex seems like just a modifier for missile weapons. Also, what happened to the minimap? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
