Glad I tried it. Took about 10 minutes to figure out what's happening, discovering the effects of every star and getting used to the pacing. Then it's a lot of fun. My compliments to the ship designer - they are all good; and, well, "Boaty McBoat Space", that's really tapping into the zeitgeist. Top game! Comicool Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 122 0 16 Melbourne, Australia #4 Comicool, May 30, 2017 Thanks! I'm really glad to have you say that The game is actually really fun once you get into it, with the combos and the weapon effects! It's something we noticed early in testing. Shame about it looking a bit average though, as it might stop people from trying it out# The ship designs are great and props credits go to the artists of the game for those# Anyway I'm really happy to hear you enjoyed the game! Elmrye Member Jun 1, 2017 6 0 0 #5 Elmrye, Jun 2, 2017 Endless runners not usually my thing but... The myriad ship options and challenging navigation make this game pretty good fun. Great job creating the catnip ship! chenpo Active Member Mar 14, 2012 38 0 0 Developer Melbourne, Australia http://www.gamesforgummie.com/ #6 chenpo, Jun 2, 2017 Solid game Solid endless runner and shooter. Great job Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,232 538 113 #7 Brightsiderus, Jun 3, 2017 I tried the game, and I like it always wanted my own flying saucer and there are UFOs of all shapes and colors! Also in the form of the cat good runner Noscirey Well-Known Member Mar 23, 2016 138 1 18 #8 Noscirey, Jun 3, 2017 Me and my brother were play the game, we like it a lot, the music are one strong points of this game because it's cool. And the variety of ships(UFOs) are very well, our favorite are the galacta cab. One idea that we have, we hope that in future versions we can customize our own ships. mood Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 179 0 16 #9 mood, Jun 3, 2017 I have 6 battleships now but I found that all my ships are not so good compare with the ships in store I am very enjoy the yellow bubble, it makes me so exciting! May I expect more interesting bubbles and weapons? such as negative bubbles. Otherwise, the music is so nice, will you add more background music which can be redeemed by gold, others can be purchase by in-app charge. More suggestions on the way NakuSpes Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2017 66 0 0 #10 NakuSpes, Jun 4, 2017 Last edited: Jun 4, 2017 The game is overall nice. The gameplay feels decently intuitive and fun and I love the variety in ships but I would like a more social experience, whether it be connecting to facebook and sharing high scores or being able to send items and boosters (if they get added) to friends. ZahirSher Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2014 159 1 18 Student Albania https://iosgods.com #11 ZahirSher, Jun 4, 2017 Right of the bat, it looked like one of those "running" type games where you have to avoid obstacles and collect coins and further go your way like that and yeah it was. The game started of with a tutorial, briefly explaining how to play the game but took me couple tries to really understand the gameplay - The controls are good to play but not smooth enough, what I mean is, the response time is slow - I also noticed that I had lives after sometime, it would be better if we knew when we lost a life so it helps us to play more cautiously, EDIT 2: I just realised we only had 1 live, not sure if we gain more when we get new ships EDIT 3: 100% based health system is a great idea to implement actually, our health decreases based on the attack dmg by the enemy, (different dmg rates for different enemies) - Needs explanation for the power-ups in the game Will give more over time if I can find Comicool Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 122 0 16 Melbourne, Australia #12 Comicool, Jun 6, 2017 One week in, summary Great thanks for all the feedback everyone. We are getting an overall positive response for the game and our ratings are great! It's been great reading everyone's thoughts on the game. It would seem that once people learnt about the different colour powerups and their effects and got use to all the different objects, then the game becomes really fun. Some notes for improvements based on what everyone has said for future updates: More customizable ship options More powerups, perhaps some that are negative and need to be avoided More music options, perhaps as unlockables More social options, like seeing your friends scores and items that can be sent Better explanation of power-ups and lives Those are some of the points I compiled based off the feedback. Did I miss anything? Does anyone have any more suggestions for improvements for a future update? Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 986 226 43 #13 Stronsay, Jun 6, 2017 Last edited: Jun 6, 2017 This is still my go-to shooter. Reminds me of when arcades were fun. The lane based movement makes for quick aiming which helps when travelling at speed; which we like to do. Always looking to get a yellow star groove going. However, after many games, I'm still unclear about two of the upgrades. Increasing agility doesn't seem to affect lane changing speed, and I'm not noticing any difference with higher attack, but I guess they are doing something that I'm not seeing. Defence is ok though in allowing more collisions to be survived. So I find the high-defence McBoatface is best for max scoring. I would concur with the planned improvements. Edit: Think I figured out the agility stat. Sometimes it helps to write things down. Probably affects the slide/yaw speed which I don't use much. Will make some tests. Comicool Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 122 0 16 Melbourne, Australia #14 Comicool, Jun 6, 2017 I'm really glad your still heading back to the game for more. The agility does effect both the roll as well as the normal movement left and right. It is subtle each upgrade though, you'll notice on ships with 2 or 3 agility upgrades moves faster and swifter than just one or two. I am not looking at the numbers ATM but I think it was set at extra 15 or 20% faster side step and roll per upgrade. You are right, it would probably be helpful to actually write what's changing, like +20% or something so players can know it's changing. The attack upgrade basically increases the amount of green lasers you shoot, the length and strength of the blue beam, the radius of the pink pulse and the time of the yellow speed armour. In testing I always used the Bulldust as that was all defence and I found it was good to have the extra lives, but one of my testers during development went with the Red Rocket (all attack) and was able to blow away everyone's scores. Would be interesting to know what other peoples favourites were.
