Apparently Summer is their deadline. Game has 30 levels, 5 weapons, boss battles, level setups like reverse gravity. http://vividgamer.com/2011/06/28/roboto-to-hit-ios-and-android-this-summer/ http://www.fenixfire.com/roboto.html The dev website has the game playable online for you to check out. http://www.fenixfire.com/robotoOnline.html It handles incredibly well. The wall jump is especially useful in avoiding frustration in missing ledges during jumps.
HOLY CRAP!!!! How did I miss this one??? Can't wait til it comes out... gonna be an INSTANTBUY!!! =oD **edit** the online demo FREAK'N ROCKS!!! The ONLY thing that can ruin this game is tilt controls... other than that... it's going to be EEEEEEEEPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC!!!
I hope they use customizable virtual controls as well, and leave that tilt BS as an alternate control scheme.
Just tried out the online version. Have to admit that this is pretty sweet. Controls feel very smooth. Can't wait for this game
Dev interview. http://theplayvault.com/wp/2011/07/12/tpv-podcast-fenix-fire-interview/ - Another husband and wife team. - They originally used tilt controls *shudder* but then opted for virtual controls that disappear when unused. - They deliberately added the wall jump function to let players save themselves when falling off ledges (called that one) - Consider their game to be a premium game. Game will be $5. Not sure about any introductory sale. - Will be out in a month
Comfirmed release date Just received a newsletter from Fenix Fire stating that "Roboto" will be released July 28th. It will be Universal and there will be a special one week introductory price of $2.99.
Wow, this game looks really stunning. Oozes style and personality. Definitely will get this when it hits!
I hate when applications don't specify the exact number. What's the point in saying "over blank # of levels" when you can just state the exact number. Nothing against the dev of Roboto specifically, but in general.
