For who suffers from ridiculous lag like me .... Ask a refund, I got mine and also tell them how bad this is.
iPhone 4 here. And it's pretty much unplayable. Hoping for an update. Could be a nice game. Although I don't see it beating Cordy, even if running smoothly.
Deleted it until there's some kind of update to get rid of lag/crashes. Would love to get Cordy as my replacement fix but it's incompatible with 2G.
I guess the iPhone 4's are actually worse that the 4th gen iPod Touch because it runs like a dream on my iPod! No lag whatsoever!
I have an iPhone 4 and runs smooth and fine, no lag. A patch will come to fix this for some users for sure... are you going to buy this again? because the game is awesome
Damn, early bad word of mouth killed this game off in the top 200 completely. At least the ratings eventually went up to 4/5 (same as Cordy). Here's word on their update. Hopefully the performance optimization and a promotion will draw people to the game who haven't heard yet of day one issues. http://www.facebook.com/fenixfiregames
I have an iPod Touch 2G and when I'm online (with OpenFeint), it runs fairly well until about 1/2 way through the 3rd level and then it just crashes completely. Strangely, it's completely unplayable offline. I haven't put in a review, hoping for an update, but right now I'd give it no more than a 2/5. I'm sorry, but coming back AFTER the game was released and saying that it requires at least 1 Ghz processing power to run properly was the Developer's fault... period. And yet some people with even iPhone 4s are having problems. They should have done more testing and either restricted it to specific devices or not published at all until after it was up-to-par. It looks like it could be a fantastic game, but Fenix Fire Games will not get any future business from me until this is fixed. I've only requested a few refunds for things like a game that said it was "Free" on the download button, but I was later charged anyway. Knowing that Apple seems to only allow X many refunds before refusing them, I was holding off for an update before asking for one for this. Frankly, I'm surprised that the ratings have gone up for Roboto, but then again there's not many reviews out there for it.
Good front page write up. It's so frustrating waiting on the update cause you know there's a good game buried underneath.
Glad to see it get a good review from TA. This has the makings of one of the best platformers on the App Store, but until that update comes, I'm still unable to play it. Bring on the update!
Sorry that many folks are having problems with this game. I was going to wait, but succumbed last night and it runs great for me. iPad, 4.2.1 jailbroken. Tried it offline as well, smooth and fun ;-) And I'm not having issues with the joystick, either (yet).
Wish we'd get some news about when a performance update is coming. I know they were aiming to do some other things as part of the update, but frankly, I wish they would just release something that makes it playable (for those of us who have issues) and wait on any enhancements for later. Guess I'm being antsy, but really wanting to play this game.
As I've been checking to see if this has gotten any updates, I noticed that they changed the app description to say it needs 4th generation hardware or newer to run. If they plan on not supporting older hardware, I guess I will need to ask for a refund.
I concur, it's great on my iPad, slightly laggy on my iPod Touch 4G. I've gotten used to the controls and it plays great, definitely one of the best platformers on the App Store right now.
