Playing a couple stages so far, and I like the little touches like hovering, wall jumping to save you when you fall off ledges, shooting automatically makes you stop in your tracks so that you don't run into an enemy that appears by surprise when you're hurtling full tilt. But I HATE that they use a joystick and there's no option for direction buttons, you're consantly repositioning your left thumb. Left/ right buttons would have been better.

Framerate is good but not quite silky smooth, I'll try restarting my device.

Normally, I quickly jump my way out of platformer land, but something about the graphics and the presentation of this title combined what looks like fast-paced and skill-demanding action catches my interest.

yeah, judging by the vid, the controls are nice and tight (which is surprising considering it's a joystick)... can 't wait to get my hands on this... I've played the first 3 levels of the flash version more than 20 times today alone... =oD

So still no one who's got it already who could do a quick check on iTunes to see what the system requirements are (ie., can it be played on a 2nd Gen and with lower iOS versions)?

Sorry, just really excited about this one and want to know if I'll be able to play (and avoid the 11 p.m. disappointment if I can't).

Although it says "HD" (even in the icon) -

Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 4.2 or later

    ^Thats all it says

Personally ive played the 3 level PC demo, and the mechanics are non-existant, so anyone going by the video and grafx alone may be bored within 10 minutes. Basically you can blindfold yourself, there is no challenge.

Cool. Thanks for the info. If that's what it says on the side (where Apple actually puts the real requirements), then it should work.

    Game Impressions

The game runs perfectly, its very good, controls are perfect in sensitivity, but i prefer the standard back and forth arrow, but they are great. The game is a lot of fun, levels are big, have checkpoints and baddies and a lot of stuff. Im level 4 and its getting better and better. Actually, the game is even better than my best expectations. But today i bought also Gesundheit, and im going to play it now.

Distinctly unimpressed so far. The controls are woollier than a bouffanted mammoth and the sfx are dire. I mean ZX Spectrum dire.

The dpad is a bit confusing at first, but you get used to this very shortly. And i forgot, controls are a bit floaty... Buttons are very responsive and transparent, which is a great idea

Ok just played first few levels and really like style etc but the tiny joystick in the bottom left is so small! I keep jumping and dying cos my thumbs come slightly off the stick grrr
Will test on ipad tomo see if any better :)

I agree with this. If devs are listening i suggest making a directional arrow pad (left and right) or have the ability to make the joystick bigger

EDIT: If you go into Options in the main menu, theres Joystick Movement, just add one square and you will be set, its perfect that way
