Don't believe the hype. The IAPs are not consumable by any practical stretch of the imagination, nor are they really necessary or even all that helpful! That said, after a few hours play, I bought the $3 one solely to support the devs, hasn't really helped my game whatsoever, but I'd do it again). Yeah I've been playing this a LOT since it came out, and I haven't gotten one IAP... I have started over a couple times because of it... But each time I get further and further... Hope one day I can beat it, but if I do, I'll want to start another game from the beginning because it's just a fun game. =oD
At what point are you dying? What level are you? I'm at level 9 now and I have encountered nodes that I have to try a couple times to beat, but haven't really risked loosing much energy. Have you read the strategy docs in the help? I found the game really broadened once I did.
the name might be close but so are a lot of things... at least the gameplay and the graphics are unique; if they were copied, it'd be different.
