Win/lose popup still doesn't pop for me. And yes, it looks like we can now complete the daily goal infinite times/day!
From what I can tell, definitely the manes and the "trails" - whichever does dashes. At least as far as controlling how many jumps you get, and the difference between fast, slow, and far dashes. Anything further than that, I've no idea.
If the descriptions are the same, then they are the same. Otherwise they will provide different benefits.
Yeah. Body - Leisurely, moderate or fast running speed. The value of one versus another is arbitrary. Mane - Number of times you can jump. Later ones are better. Wings - Graceful or quick ascent when flying. Arbitrary value one way or the other. Horn - Quick, moderate or long dash. Arbitrary value again. Trail - Fast, moderate or slow acceleration. Another arbitrary factor. So really, the only area where someone definitely wants the last type is the mane. There is, however, a real difference from one combination to another. Of course, some options have the same effect as others. I.E. two bodies with fast running speed are going to perform the same.
Even though descriptions might be the same between different parts, there is a always subtle difference; each part is unique.
I finally got my first taste of the RUA2 goodness, and maaaaaaan it tastes good. Quite possibly the greatest endless runner, infact, greatest game ever... And to play it while hearing Erasure "Always" is the stuff of dreams. Wow! Oh and devs, please allow us to buy the removal of ads, they bug the hell out of me, thanks.
Wheeee update! With new content! And a higher level count! And other stuff that I don't know about but update! content! oh and new unicorn parts, I think. (update!!) This will tide me over until some of the great releases tomorrow night.
Hmmm... I dunno if this happened with everyone else, but after the update I completed one objective and got 3 stars, but jumped from level 22 to 24... And got 4,800 tears, twice (like it registered level 23 as level 24). It didnt really effect anything, and I've got the items that were supposed to unlock at level 23... I just thought it was a tad bit weird. Anyway:;: THANK YOU PIKPOK!!! This update rocks!!
Synthetic are you on my GC friends list? I dont think so but we should, I play this pretty often as its a fun game!
My theory is that the game has been storing the stars you've earned while you were at the level cap. When you earned more stars it checked its count and awarded you as many of them as it could.
The previous update made this game run very good on my touch 4g. I just updated the latest update this morning and tried the game. Now it's back to really bad lag and crashing....sigh
That happened to me, too. On the one hand, it's good to know the stars I'm earning post-level-cap aren't going to waste. On the other hand, it means that you really don't have the whole thing-to-work-for going on. I am wondering why they only raised the level cap to 24? I get that they didn't have more unlockables past that, but from following this thread I think a lot of people (including me) would rather keep leveling even if there aren't more unlockables at the moment. **** Question before the group #1: Anyone else have the experience of their first run after they launch the game having a different level layout from subsequent runs? I'm wondering if it's something about the amount of time it takes the game to connect to the Internet to find out what level it's supposed to be using or something? It's always been the first run after a launch except for once, when it confused me by changing the first run mid-play-session (annoying because I had a bunch of boosts on trying to beat my high score). Question before the group #2: I was wondering what boosts and unicorn options people generally take when they're going for high scores? I'm not trying to get on leaderboards -- I'm nowhere NEAR that good -- but I'm aiming to break 200,000 one of these days. In my last few attempts (which got me to 190,000, blowing away my old, non-boosted high score) I took the super-vaccuum (to suck in all those faeries), the anti-solar-beam shield, and the saves-you-from-one-crash. However, I'm also wondering about some of the other boosts. I use a leisurely-pace unicorn, long dashes unles the level has a string of stars very close together, leisurely ascent wings. I've been practicing the whole endless-flyer thing (and especially dashing stars without landing) since I know that's how you get high scores, although honestly I really prefer endless-runner mode. Unfortunately endless-flyer practice doesn't get you many tears to actually pay for the boosts to try for higher scores!
My feelings exactly. I love the game and had a chunk of free time, and it didn't take me that long to get to 24 (from the former max of 22). And if there's the "earned stars contributing later" with the level cap, then I'll probably be stuck again. Still picking up the game to play every so often, but the big draw for me was completing goals and levelling up. It might be my inner RPG lover, but without that impetus it's not as fun for me. However, devs have said they're watching this thread, so hopefully we can see an update with a higher level cap in the future - I don't care about unlockables as much.
