Still lagging on iphone 4. Not as much as before, but still... at least it's not crashing anymore!

I second everything that Enriana wants.

Also, it would be good if the boosts were purchasable like other unicorn parts. As it stands now, I can barely make the tear vaccuum break even over 3 wishes (of course, I can't get a score higher than 100k either), let alone make the other boosts worth while.

I like this idea too - even if they were more expensive to buy permanently, I would purchase them (especially the bigger tear/fairy vacuum). However, there are some bonuses - say, the one where you automatically dash through one giant - that I can't see myself purchasing permanently, but would for certain missions.

So perhaps a screen where they were optional purchases that'd stay in your bonuses forever in addition to the screen where you choose for certain wishes?

I agree with raising the level cap and with making higher-end versions of the lower-end custom unicorn parts (especially the rainbow and fire parts).

More worlds would be neat, of course. I suggested earlier that it would be fun if you could set a different song to be the default for different worlds.

I do think that being able to purchase some boosts permanently would be a neat idea, especially because now that I have all the unicorn parts I want I've pretty much run out of things to spend tears on.

I think it would be nice if we could see the screen with our current goals before our first run when we start the game.

Is our high score actually displayed anywhere in the app? I'd like to see that, if not. Actually, I really miss the high score board that showed -- I don't remember, my 5 best scores? -- that the first game had when it originally came out. I don't really do Gamecenter and don't have Gamecenter friends so now getting a very good score that isn't quite my *best* score seems anti-climactic.

I don't know what if anything can be done about it, but the long loading times really do slow things down as you're playing the game.

On a bug note -- does anyone else find that sometimes they just start to fall out of the sky when flying, like the jump button has ceased to register momentarily?

I've had the jump button not register, but what I think is happening is either my thumb is too far left (so is off the screen) or my hand is sweating and the moisture is stopping the touch registering...
Do 'stressful' games like RUA make anyone else's hands sweat?

I don't think sweating would stop the touch from registering -- on the contrary, sweat is very conductive, that's how skin conduction tests work.

I've taken an iPod in the pool in a waterproof bag type of case before and found that the iPod will sometimes register touches when the water splashes on it because the water is a good conductor.

The lag is horrible, even after updating. Although I am having trouble telling if it is lag or just a poor frame rate. Either way, it is definitely affecting the gameplay.

As have I. I have paid attention to this too, just to see if it was me, and I'm pretty sure it is the game. There are also times where I am really close to clearing a jump onto a cliff, but it is the type of scenario where I know I've made the jump successfully. However, it registers as me hitting the face of the cliff.

Anyway, ugh. Endless runners... Well, I've been giving this a shot, and I must admit there is enough here to keep me coming back. Based on only the first level, the background art is fantastic, with lots of scrolling and detail. The unicorn animation is beautiful and the music really draws the player into this fantasy world . The fact that I saw The Never Ending Story song after I commented on how it reminded me of that film pages back in the thread really made me respect the inspiration that went into this. I love the rock monsters that shoot the lasers. I think that is what drew me in the most.

However, an endless runner is just that. With almost every single runner I play I wish I had more control over my character (like the ability to stop/block in PunchQuest). I know runners fit well on iOS with no virtual controls and whatnot, but I also feel that the player is losing that feeling of being truly connected to the gameplay, when really the game mainly plays itself. On top of this, IAP like this is just so tiring at this point. So sick of renting my gameplay and managing my progression with how much I am willing to spend. I am just so, so tired of it.

I'd also like to check out the Ice World, but it is 25,000 tears and what looks like level 15 to unlock. Holy grinding, Batman. Well, I guess this is where I decide if I am going to reach into my wallet to buy a coin double to advance at a more palatable rate, or just grind until my fingers fall off.

No - it's 25,000 tears OR level 15. So you can just wait until level 15, then it'll unlock automatically.

Actually it just auto-unlocks at level 15 - you don't need to grind the tears.

[edit] man I guess I need to learn to reply faster!

When I typed that I meant they were one in the same, in that you could do either. Again, just having that option to be able to advance further more quickly based on how much I am willing to open my wallet is simply a dark cloud hovering over multiple and potentially great titles in the AppStore. Like I said, it's just tiring.

For what it's worth, I haven't bought anything in the game and got to rank 15 & Ice World with pretty much the same amount of effort that getting a new rank needs. So if you continue to play and continue to gain ranks, you'll get there. I'm all the way to the max - rank 22 - and I didn't need to spend a dime to do so. So far, there is no pay wall in this game.

Agreed - no pay wall. The only thing I spent $ on was music so far.

Some of the goals were ridiculous IMO (and I didn't want to grind), so I bought them out with tears, but because you get so many tears from leveling up I hit lvl 22 in a day.

[edit] also, is anyone getting the community goals rewards? I'm team rainbow, so I guess I'm not expecting to get anything anyway, but I used to at least get a popup that said my team lost, and I haven't been getting it since the patch.

Yeah, I haven't been getting the team win/lose pop-up, either.

IAP is definitely not necessary to play the game. If anything, I'd advise against it. (Sorry, devs.) You'll have Ice World, Level 22, and way more tears than you could possibly need quite quickly. All I've purchased is music.

(Which, incidentally, makes it annoying that the music often won't play. I'm currently speculating that the music doesn't play if my music player or another app that uses the music controls is still active in memory when I launch RUA2. I will experiment more.)

The team win/lose popup now appears after you complete a game.

Uhh, so I can recomplete the daily goal an infinite amount of times?

    Tears disappearing

I just started playing yesterday but I've encountered what has to be some kind of bug(?): it happens as soon as I unlock the customize option and start paying with it. At first everything is fine. Then start playing, and at the end of my wishes my tears will have decreased immensly, like over a 1000 vanished and left me with a random 226 tears left, play one more wish and suddenly its down to 72 tears! Anyone else know what that's about??

If you're using any powerups in your runs, bear in mind that they're not once-off purchases; you have to pay for them each time you use them, which can eat into your funds very quickly if you don't realise this.

The amount you have to pay is subtracted at the powerup screen before you start running, so it definitely can look like your total money is decreasing for reasons unknown, especially if you're using three at a time. It's easy enough to check if this is what is happening: just deselect the powerups on that screen, and you should see your tears increase again.
