are the goals reset because of the time zones like I heard it was in the UK so for us in the USA it would reset a lot sooner?

Have to give credit where its due

I like this game a lot - have to give it kudos. I can't seem to get very far though, and the text reads subliminal, but its all in good fun.

Personal best 40k, is that bad or average?

    Playing iOS games, duh.
    Pennsylvania, U.S.
Midian, sometimes I think you read my mind.

I'm 34, so I landed right smack dab in the 80's growing up. One redeeming factor of this decade, especially early on--of course once you cut through most of the crap offered by the decade--is FANTASY. As cheesy as a synthesizer can be, what it did for the fantasy genre is unparalleled. Between the unicorn, the synth and scrolling through this beautiful interplanetary landscape, I have this mental image of Legend, The Neverending Story and a smorgasbord of other 80's flicks that I can feel in my heart by can't quite recall at this moment, all rolled together. It is the feeling of flying in a dream.

However, the fantasy aspect of this title is just about as far as my interest goes. Like many of the bad 80's movies that you ask yourself why you are watching them, I am asking myself right now: Why am I playing this game? I am so confused. Is this supposed to be gameplay? Am I missing something?

And then I realized something: THIS IS AN ENDLESS RUNNER!

    Oh, sorry, I fell asleep.

Yes! The endless runner! These are the games that play themselves, while I tap Jump. Jump. Dash. Jump. Dash. Jump.

Wait, I know what this reminds me of! GOD OF BLADES!

    Sorry, I fell asleep again.

Now, before everyone gets upset, not EVERY endless runner is boring. I like PunchQuest and Mega Run. Heck, I guess you could even consider Shellrazer and 'auto-runner' because the turtle moves by himself, and that is one of my favorite iOS games to date. Oh, and Badland, another 'auto-runner' of sorts, but am I bored by that? Uh, no.

Now, I have NOT played that far into this at all. Should I? Please convince me that there is more to this. I NEED convincing. I'm not the judge and jury, but I just can't see an incentive to continue playing this.

The default song is what kept me playing, then I continued a bit just to find out what the team competition was like (not great), but Module's (guy who did the theme) Facebook page says he's asked PikPok and Adult Swim about putting his two tracks up somewhere. If he gets the all-clear I'll probably just listen to those instead of continuing with the game.

The super-long load times (I have a 4S), and the pop-up ads kill this game for me. Last time I went to play it I just gave up on it and shut it off before the title screen was done loading. Even games using the (way overrated) Unreal Engine don't take this long to load.

This theming is -redonk-. Although there needs to be some sort of balancing agent for teams (rainbow keeps getting wrecked), I love the idea of the meta-game competition. It's too bad that the unbalanced team numbers crushes the collective soul of Team Rainbow, and leaves Team Inferno uninspired and disinterested in any need to truly compete.

Still, I never loved unicorns until this moment, so that's something. Thanks [adult swim] for supporting creators who bring us a little bit of the ridiculous into our lives.

We are currently brainstorming some ways to make the competition more even between Rainbow and Inferno. I'm on Rainbow!

Yeah, I was reluctant to skip things because I assumed the next goals would be harder, but I finally broke down and skipped the 9 Giants one and the next two goals were something like 50 tears in 3 wishes and 50 fairies in 3 wishes... super easy. And, I discovered you still get the stars when you skip goals!

I do kind of wish there was a way "postpone" goals rather than totally skip them, so they go back into the cycle instead of going away. (Or maybe you can get repeat goals? I don't know.)

I finally got to Level 15 and got Ice World, which is pretty but I find it harder to concentrate on the unicorn. I noticed the flavor text during the too-long loading times say that the universe was split into 9 worlds... makes me wonder if there will eventually be more worlds to come.

Still not getting daily goals, either.

    Hi SwimCeej,

Firstly thanks for bringing us this brilliant game, which I can't stop playing.

I have reached level 22 and this seems to be the current maximum, however I still see new missions, but obviously no rewards are available.

Please confirm that you planning to increase the level cap soon as this seriously reduces longevity of the game in its current format.

Regarding the uneven teams, I wondered if you considered something like restricting the upgrades and unicorns available according to your current team, with different advantages available to each team to encourage a more balanced split.

You should also allow people to only change their team once per day, and this choice is prompted when first loading up the game each day, without seeing the current score.

More GC achievements could be another way to encourage team swapping where you have to play for both teams to be able to gain achievements and this could include something like the medals system in Jetpack Joyride.

I joined Team Inferno on day 1 when they were actually losing but have never seen the point in changing so far.

Hope to see this game supported well, as this is the best runner I have played since JJ and I played that one to death :D

I'm burned out myself from trying to stay in the top 10. I ran out of objectives that grant rewards anyway so I'll put off playing for now. I have a hunch though the true top scores are over 3,000,000.

I like playing in the ice stage because it's easier on the eyes. I don't like hot.

Why not let the competition reset on a daily basis instead? And maybe add a bonus for the losing team if they recover from a streak

I like this idea - you could have the competition results show for one day, and then show the week's, and maybe further back. That way Team Rainbow has a chance, which will hopefully encourage people to join. If the numbers are still hugely out of proportion in regards to members, maybe offering a small (not game changing) incentive for Inferno people to swap over? I'm not entirely sure how to do that & have it be fair to everyone, maybe just a couple hundred tears? Or even just "c'mon guys, give Rainbows some love" - there will probably be people who don't mind changing teams to help balance it.

I haven't had a chance to play yet due to class, have we gotten daily levels yet or are they still MIA? I know we got a new level last night...

Also, is there a way to view the current goals from the home screen? Every time I re-open the game, I can't figure out a way to see what my goals are without starting and dying three times on purpose and pulling up the screen that way.

Why buying the doubler wont disable the ads...? It would be a nice reason to spend money. The ads are kind of annoying. I definitely will buy something when this ad thing is sorted out (and the lagginess)

I've not seen any ads for two days straight now and have not purchased any IAP. I've tried with 2 different wifi networks to test and still no ads. Still waiting for confirmation. Like you, I'm willing to spend on the game too as long as the ads are completely gone.

I can definitely confirm that ads are still around. I also have not purchased IAP and see them on a regular basis whenever I'm changing screens (usually in & out of customize). I've only had a slight trouble with lag and it's only been on the loading screens on my iPad Mini, for what it's worth.

Thank you! It hurts me that so many people clearly choose the baddies, what would Falkor say?

I'd love for there to be levels above 22, even just for bragging rights with no unlockables. Leveling up kept me logging on every few hours to do a couple runs, just to make sure I didn't miss out on any community mission bonuses. Now that I've maxed out on stars, there's a lot less incentive to keep playing.

You know what I think would be an interesting feature? If you could set different songs for different worlds.

I think that "Always" is the perfect song for Ice World: "When it's cold outside, am I here in vain? Hold on to the night, there will be no shame..." But Sky World seems more like a "Neverending Story" place to me. It's such a pain to change songs with all the loading screens, I don't really feel like changing the music every time I change worlds, but if they changed themselves according to my preferences? That would be neat. :)

And hey, it might encourage people to buy more music, meaning more IAP, right?

I think there should probably be some sort of incentive for extremely active players to choose the losing team. Maybe some sort of weighted reward based on their contribution that would favor the smaller team. I think that, after a week or so, there'd be enough switching that the two teams would wind up being about equal after that and people would just stay on whatever team they like the concept of better.
