The thing about iOS is it goes both ways. I could spend $200 on iPad games that barely last me 200 minutes in total. In fact over these past six years, I probably have. I could also spend $40 on a single console game that lasts me 200 hours. Premium gaming is in desperate need of a boost around these parts.

Don't worry, the same exact thing happened to me. :p Wings are a bit tricky in the beginning, I'm still about as good as flying as I am crashing into things. ;)

Thanks you guys for the tips about the multipliers and hoops, I managed to knock that goal off pretty quickly. I ended up caving and buying wings/flight, mostly because I seem to be really good at almost going through a hoop, and end up going right along the edge instead. ;P

HLW, the whale has never made me crash, it sounds like a weird bug. Is it still happening?

And yes, the ads only come up when I'm switching screens around the main screen/customize; I don't think I've ever had one pop up anywhere else.

Speaking of customizations, what does everyone tend to use most? I've been trying to evenly distribute tears, but I think I have one of each "body part" upgraded except for the unicorn itself (soon!) and I'm deepest into the manes (yay jumping). It might sound silly, but I've gone back to lower customizations just because I prefer the look - not during tricky goals, but every so often. Too bad there's not a way to keep any part of the default "look" while still using bigger upgrades.

I keep getting obliterated by the giant laser beast guy. Is there a secret to getting past him?

Oh and I bought the almost song everyone pumps up. Actually like the original music better. I spent a dollar on something I probably will never use but oh well. The game deserves at least one dollar from me. Almost just gets stuck in your head and really doesn't go with the flow of the game. And I have to say I really enjoy the original soundtrack. I do wish it was a bit longer or changed as you got further in the game.

I've only upgraded my mane and bought wings. I did buy iron Pegasus though because he looks bad a** :). I don't have any trouble dashing so I still have the default horn . Now that I think about it most times I die its because I can't jump anymore so having the best mane is probably the ticket to higher scores . For me anyways .

I get caught by those sometimes, too. If you have a good speed and dash combination it's easier. If you're not moving fast but have a short dash, you'll likely have a harder time, for instance.

I absolutely could not get past a large giant in a certain area a couple days ago with a moderate speed + quick dash combo but after changing to a fast speed it wasn't a problem. Small and medium ones have never been an issue, but the large ones can be difficult depending on the surrounding terrain.

Anyone else not receiving tears from online battles? My daily goal has been locked for a couple of days now. The timer just resets itself. It was fine when I first started playing.

Flying doesn't seem to control to well. Ascending is fine, but there seems to be lag between the time you release the jump button to descend and then re-press it to fly again.

A whole bunch of upgrades have the same description; I'm not sure the difference is anything more than cosmetic. For example, there are 2 wing descriptions IIRC, ascend gently and ascend quickly. I don't know that choosing between any two items with the same description is actually an upgrade as opposed to just customization.

And HEY, no goal for me today...it skipped like it did for some others. Do you have to be IN THE GAME when the timer rolls over? That's bull.

I've spent over 200 bucks on console games I've played for no more than 10 minutes, so...eh. I'm easily distracted.

As I just posted, ditto. Twitter bonuses aren't working either, though I'll be staying away from them after seeing a well-known TA member's feed throw up on itself.

Ditto here... I like the rainbow mane/tail and wake best, although I'm not using them at the moment -- the extra jumps in particular are VERY handy. I wish they had some rainbow high-level upgrades. If it doesn't look like I would have had it on my Trapper Keeper in the 80's, it isn't Robot Unicorn. :)

    Other comments:

Like the original RUA, the music seems to interact with the iOS music player in some weird way. Sometimes I'll start RUA and the music won't play, then I switch to the music player and mess with it -- start it, stop it again, close it, etc. -- and when I switch back to RUA, hey presto! it plays music again. (Currently going back and forth between "Always" and "Never-Ending Story.")

I, too, wish that making an IAP got rid of the ads. Or, heck, even an IAP specifically to get rid of the ads. The ads are relatively non-obnoxious, but while I put up with them in free apps, it annoys me to pay money for something with ads in it.

Is there a way to see your high score? Originally RUA had a high score board of your top whatever scores, then it skipped to Gamecenter and only kept your high score (since I don't have any friends on Gamecenter, the friend's scores were rather boring) and now in RUA2 I can't find it at all. I like having a high score table to try to get on, darn it!

I also didn't get a new daily goal today.

I'm not as good a player as some of the people here and I'm feeling a little stuck -- my two current goals are 50 stars in three wishes and 9 giants in one wish, neither of which feel very do-able to me. (I don't think I've ever even SEEN 9 giants in a wish, let alone dashed them!) I'm tempted to pay tears to skip them, but I imagine something even harder will take their place!

I enjoy this game very much, the first RUA was great and this one improved it..while adding ads we all love ;)
Anyways, the game is very polished and gameplay is very fun, fast paced, and addicting. Its free, so you might as well!

I had to skip some, I unfortunately suck at runners, but this one is fun enough to keep on trying. :) the goals are random I think, you sometimes get easy ones, sometimes super hard ones. The 50 stars in 3 wishes is doable (I have to do it in 1 currently with no luck yet, but the 75 one I skipped), but the 9 giants one... I think maybe once I got to see 7, but flew above them unfortunately XD and I can only get as far as when the 3rd animal, the seahorse reaches the middle of the screen. 3 giants I can do already, even 5 not yet. :(

By the way, it would be nice if you could toggle the music tracks and they played randomly (or in order) in each wishes. It takes a lot of time to go back and switch to another one, would be nice if it was automatic.

No I just think I'm easily distracted - "oh look a space whale" *forget to jump, smash into wall*

It just resets itself for me too.

Some of the goals seem much harder than others, they need to make is so that the ones like 9 giants in one wish goal only appears once you are much higher level.

I'd like to buy some of the music IAP, I would do if it removed ads - I don't think it's acceptable to have a paid game with ads in, which is what I would have with RUA2 if I bought IAP.

    You will fail! :D

    I've already IAP'ed "Always"

I'm a big fan of the first version and the sweet unicorn wings just make me wanna spawn them rainbows all day.

    Awesome stuff Team PikPok!

There's much worse than that. :D I hated the 20 giants in 1 wish. I bought it out instead since I farmed enough tears from trying. 100 fairies in 1 wish is actually easy compared to multiple giants. The good news is that hard and easy goals cycle. After the above 2 examples, it went back down to goals like 1000 tears in any wishes and dash 10 stars in 3 wishes. Score objectives cycle as well. After one that required 225k in 3 wishes, it gave me a goal for 50k in 3 wishes.

Okay seriously, they need to fix the leaderboards. I just played a quick game and it was my best so far. All scores above 600k are automatically deleted from RUA2's board.
