You get more legendary parts after a certain number of trophies (daily races won). There's a progress meter that appears briefly after you win a race. You can also play past daily races (back from July) by watching an ad. I just couldn't find out how to get the parts needed for upgrades...
If you purchase the $3.99 (as I did) then you should be able to play past races whenever you want, without having to watch an ad. That annoyed me a little.
yeah I agree with this, I paid £3.99 and think making me watch an ad to play a back level is taking the piss. quite a nice little game but think the combat bit needs work, its messy and needs me to reposition the phone in my hands quickly for how I like to hold it.
Thanks for playing! When you get double parts from the lootbox it converts to a new currency called "junk" which you can use to upgrade parts. We're working to get this more clear in the game!
Appreciate that and thanks for being so responsive. Love the game but hate being "nickel & dimed" after paying so thank you. I also think the upgrades are a little expensive with the car parts. Maybe give the option to sell ones that you have but don't want?
First, we are going to change the IAP in the update (give us a few days), so that you don't get any more incentivized ads. Secondly, forced ads only show up after 4 minutes if a player hasn't watched any incentivized ads. So, it's not possible to get a forced video ad after 30 seconds. Also, the forced ads are skippable after 5 seconds.
I wrote bad: I was meaning "30 seconds ads", and yeah you're right they are skippable after 5 seconds (I was forgetting this). Change in the IAP is without a doubt a good thing. Still 4 are imho too much for this game... tonight I'm going to buy the premium for sonic the edge hog for 2...
I bought the game premium IAP based on LordShad0wz opinions and I'm really enjoying it. @devs: I appreciate implementing the feature of playing past tracks without watching a forced ad for us premium buyers, thanks. One bit of improvement I'd like to see is when you get a new part, you're asked if you want to equip it or not, but you don't show (or I don't see) the stats of the new part compared to the equipped one anywhere. Could you show it somewhere so that I can choose if I equip it or not without having to go to the workshop to see if it was better or worse than the previous one I had?
Didn't that version have more features though like power ups and multiplayer? Will this version get those features?
