I've been playing this game for a couple of months now. The above information is new to me. This is kind of infuriating for an obvious number of reasons. Why would you create a time limited event that would prevent you from getting fairly important champions? Also, the mechanic is pretty damn strong, if you somehow missed out on the event early on (like I did)... you effectively miss a huge power up. Its a really odd design flaw. It would make more sense if the limitation were a number of tries or something. Thanks to mariowammer for the guide... there should be a place for this kind of information either in game or on another page. At any rate, I'm looking forward to expansions and updates. Its been fun so far. Are you guys working on this open source? is there any way to potentially contribute? gamecenter name is Sojinn6 if anyone can help me with yeti runs.
i miss mechanic too, and agree game is very hard without him. however the game developer been saying they will add him and six new hero in new patch... a month ago. nothing heard since.
Let's just be thankful guys. I am sure they are working hard on the update and it will be released soon. I know everyone wants an update soon but that's just not how the real world works sometimes
I heard the dev said maybe the update patch'll ready to update in this weekend or in early of next week.
Pirate shop items Ok, so how are some players finding tons of items with modifiers in pirate shop, and I keep Getting meh items available for sale? I understand the ppl at the top get some bonus to their Odds of finding that sort fo gear, but what is affecting their chances? Is it placement position On the ladder? Power lvl? Defense lvl? # of gems spent per day? Some feedback from devs would be helpful. Thanks! Loving the game!
I understand your point, I really think someone at the top are hacked players. No one can spend too much effort in short time like they did.
Hi hungkafka! I followed the top player and really check their account, it's normal guy. But we will check it again and everybody can report the suspected user.
Sorry everyone because of my absence! We are really working hard for the submit before us countries's holiday. If possible, I will public video about some hero in next update today.
Thank Svenkas and the effort of your team, I really really want to see our new heroes in the next update.
anyone know what "evil fetch" do? I see some top player have it... actually nearly all of them have it lol! i finally got ONE good item from shop today. But still never seen this evil fetch item. reall exciting looking for the update!
Awesome! Great to hear an update from the team, and to get the yeti shop thing figured out. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out how those top players got all those 5 stars. Apparently just luck. Interesting. In any case, definitely looking forward to the update!
Still 4 more hero (completed), 2 of them is have new skill type - "Passive". I will public more information about them asap.
Alrighty! So the most recent update came out on 1/13 - 15 days ago. You just said that the items in the yeti shop appear completely randomly. However, I find it strange that the top three players all have an insane amount of 4* and 5* equipment compared to everyone else in the top 25. I'd like to look at 5* items, because their distribution seem to be the most ridiculous to me. ISPK (#1) has five 5* items. H3nzo (#2) has at least three 5* items (his full team isn't up currently) PaulJoness (#3) has five 5* items. I just looked through every single other arena team in the top 50. There's two people with a 5* item. Each of those three people has more 5* items than the rest of the players in the top 50 COMBINED. You're telling me that the top three people have 87% of all the 5* items in the top 50. Let's do some statistical analysis of how likely this is to occur. Out of the people ranked 4-53, there are two bought 5* items. These 50 people have seen the yeti shop refresh 15 times each. That means they had a combined 50*15*2 = 1500 chances to get a 5* item in the shop (The 2 is because there are two yeti shop slots in which a 5* can appear). Let's assume that in actuality there were more than two 5 star items seen. Let's say that there were 20, and only 2 of them were bought, because of their high price. This is undoubtedly an overestimation since we're considering people in the top 50. People like me, Osterus, and Hungkafka. People in the top 50 have been around for a long time, and are dedicated enough to buy 5* yeti items when given the chance. We're assuming here that these players only bought 1/10 of the 5* items we saw. So let's assume that the yeti shop chance of placing a 5* in a yeti shop slot is 20/1500, or 1.33%. What's the chance that each of the top three players got the items that they have? I'll assume here that they bought every 5* they saw, which could be an underestimate. The chance of H3nzo getting three (or more) 5* items is 0.0073, or about 1/137. The chance of ISPK getting five (or more) 5* items is 0.00004, or 1/25,000. (Same goes for PaulJoness) So the chance that all three of the top three players got the result they did (or something more extreme!) is... 0.00000000001168. You know what that is? That's about one in a hundred billion. Alright. So maybe I have the chance of getting a 5* item wrong, and it's actually much higher than 1.33%. Perhaps many people haven't bought 5* items because they don't have the coins, or they're holding out until they see a 5* +3 item. So let's assume that the top three players were only very lucky, rather than extremely lucky, and see what happens. Let's assume that together, there was a 1% chance that the top three players all got as many items as they did. So in 90 chances, they got 13 items. If a 5* item had a 7% chance of appearing in any given slot, then there's roughly a 1% chance that those three players would get 13 items combined. So given this 7% chance, that would mean on average that players ranked #4-54 would have all together seen 1500*(0.07) = 105 5* items, and only bought 2 of them. I don't buy that. There's no way players would let almost 98% of the 5* items they see slip through the cracks without being bought. So either (1) It's not random, like you say it is. or (2) There's some serious game manipulation going on by at least one of those players. (Changing the time to refresh the shop instantly, perhaps?) Honestly, I don't think this is the reason. ISPK and H3nzo have both posted here on the forums, and neither of them strike me as having a real motive to cheat. (E.g. why would ISPK spend the money he has spent on RoH if he were hacking?) Just some food for thought. While I am admittedly a little salty that I haven't seen a single 5* item in the shop, it's just baffling to me that each of the top players has more 5* items than everyone else in the top 50 combined. Sure they're elite, but they're not THAT elite. I'll probably be rank 4 in a week or so, and you don't see me running around with those kinds of items.
Totally get what you meant Mario. I'm in the top 20 and haven't see any 5 star item yet. The best I'm having now is weapon + 260 pwr and 15% pwr.
