I cheated. I was perfectly happy with my reward but it was driving me nuts not knowing if my choices mattered when picking chests. I'm used to iap games giving the illusion of choice, and hiding the percentage chances of getting a better reward when paying for spins and the like. So I was curious and tested it here. When you pick red chests your three rewards are pre- determined; after you "pick", the rest are randomly placed and "revealed".

how to get mechanic? I at stage 99 never seen him? and stage 100 boss is 50 times harder than felix ahh!
If you at stage 100 then you probably miss Mechanic somehow as he is even before Queen Teuta. But there are still a lot of other good heroes can swap for him.
I dont write guide to get popular, besides anyone can write second beginner guide and put link in their signature anytime. Im hoping to see more guide in the future as due to my poor english grammar, I know that my guide cant be good enough.

I just started yesterday and Mechanic was the first event. Now it's a Pirate event. What do people think about the Pirate?
@Osterus: In case this helps, I missed the mechanic event also and I am having no trouble progressing through the game I am currently on Level 30 of Frozen Lands Campaign In addition, the devs said that they are thinking of a way to bring the mechanic and queen to those that missed it Since you are pretty far in the game, I would recommend to just keep going You can build a plenty strong team without him. @Tastyfish: I would HIGHLY recommend trying your best to get Queen. She is ESSENTIAL I feel No one has replaced her on my team yet and I just got past level 30-35 of the second world I hope this helps!
Thanks. Got the mechanic and the Queen. Cost me a lot of shields and red potions. I think it's worth it in the long run. Bought the 30 day pass and a couple of $1 packs to support the devs.
It is a chest which can be opened every 3 hours, reward can be gold, gems, potions, wings (just got a Saint Wings today)
Finally got my bard to 4star saint hahaha . Now i had no problem getting to boss stage in gold mine weee . Finally can earn money without any problem . Btw does anyone had any solution to avoid the gobins from using special attack in the gold mind from hitting my back units ?
