Antony, The idea behind the arena changes is great, but I think you may have accidentally broken the arena system. It appears that the arena now more heavily favors finding people who are close to your team in power, regardless of their rank. I'm sure this is a huge win for low level players, but as a high ranker, this is very concerning. It makes the arena WAY too easy. Before this change, I exclusively fought people higher power than me, since I used a low power team in combination with Void Hailer. Now that's there's so much of a focus of finding teams you can beat, I can just run a single unit and face low levels players, who I can easily destroy, even though my power/def ratings are much less than theirs. For example, I managed to use my Felix to get THIRTY TWO medals from one arena match this morning. Now, for highly ranked people, there's no need to have a strong team anymore. To gain ranks in the arena, all you need to do is log in every 2-3 hours to spend your tickets. Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed with your decision. However, I'm not going to give you negative feedback without suggesting how you can fix it! Make it so you can fight people within a percentage of your arena rank. That way, lower levels still get a huge amount of people they can fight, while high rankers still have to fight people pretty close to them. 50% of your rank should be fine. For example, someone rank 2000 can battle anybody in the range of (1000,3000) while somebody rank 100 can fight people in the range of (50,150). For those people extremely high ranked (top 200 or so) you can probably just relax this percentage to a flat amount so they can fight people within 100 ranks of them, or something like that.
Actually, now that I've looked into it a bit more, my arena match with Felix was a bit of a bug. It seems that there's a delay between when you update your team and when the arena changes to match your team. For example, if I run a 4000 power team against 4000 power opponents, I can quickly downgrade my team to 1500 power and still fight 4000 power opponents. It also works the other way around. After running a weak team, if I follow it up with a strong team I still find weak players. I had an arena match this morning where the highest value player I could battle was worth 4 medals.
Wow! That is a VERY interesting suggestion you have! :O I think that it is super clever! I wonder if it will be possible to implement It would really add some interesting challenges once we get below rank 100
I think you got the idea of the change wrong, it isn't meant to find you a match in the arena with a person similar in power, but rather the devs widened the range of ranks people can fight. For instance before this change myself (rank 18) could only fight those of rank 1-100. Now it's like rank 1-1000, but I agree that the arena system is broken but it's in our favour (the high rank players) so appreciate it while it lasts, I'm getting much more medals now #
I'm not quite sure you're right. I run about a 4500 power team (Which is low for my rank, I'm about rank 60), and I don't find any of the 6000+ power teams I used to find before the changes. Also, I've fought people that are around rank 3000, even with my full power team. Regardless, I'm enjoying my easy medals as well! (Although it kind of takes the fun out of the game - there's less of a sense of accomplishment for winning now)
I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I feel that most of the arena rewards aren't worth your time. Here's some ideas I had about rebalancing the rewards to get players to buy a greater variety of items: 1. Wings 500 medals for a saint wing is pretty much perfect, in my opinion. However, silver and gold wings are much too pricey in comparison. Consider the prices of wings in terms of gems. Silver wings are worth 1 gem, gold wings are worth 3, and saint wings are worth 15. The prices in the arena don't reflect that. I think a more fair pricing for wings would be as follows: Silver Wing - 50 relics Gold Wing - 150 relics Saint Wing - 500 relics This way, you're a lot closer to the relative prices of the wings in terms of gems, but it's still the most cost efficient to try and save for saint wings, as it should be. The lower price wings are valued at 50 relics/gem, and the saint wing is valued at 33.3 relics/gem. 2. Items As it stands right now, there's pretty much no reason to spend tickets on items. Based on shop prices, I think you could adjust the item prices as follows: 10 Potions - 25 relics 10 Great Potions - 50 relics 5 Warrior Drinks - 100 relics (unchanged) 5 Guardian Shields - 100 relics (unchanged) This puts all the items at close to 50 relics/gem as well. 3. Gold Mine Key This needs to be less. MUCH less. But I wouldn't do anything about this until we find some way to balance the gold mine in a way that makes people happy.
I jus went back to read ur guide. Very nice.. i will get void hailer first. Is he useful when questing too?
He's not the best for questing, but his ability comes in handy. A lot of bosses have specials that can really nuke your team, and he can at least delay those. Kalari definitely has the edge over him when it comes to questing, as he has more raw damage to kill bosses.
Page 100 first post!!!! Wow 100 pages is kinda ridiculous Just bought vip to support the devs and my heroes
So a quick question for the devs, as well as everyone else I guess. So I have run the Yeti roughly 50 times I would guess since the patch came out last week. I have received 1 item so far, which was one of the first runs after the patch. I have been graciously given one whole green potion as a reward quite a few times, but no items to be seen. Is this intended? I was under the impression the Yeti's drop rates were, if anything, increased due to the drop in money. I'm completely fine with the drop in gold, and understand why they did it, but the item drop rate seems to be FAR below what it was pre-patch. Other than that, loving the new update. Hoping the arena gets reworked again, but I'm having a blast overall.
I'll let you in on a little secret - certain team compositions actually give you a better chance to get an item! Make sure your units spell out something, like a name. Use this simple trick to double your drops instantly! Here's a quick example to get you started. Kalari Ella Void Hailer Ice Wizard Necromancer Has science gone too far? Even the developers are trying to get this method banned!
Hi got a question about necromancer for the Dev or anyone knowing game mechanics. Does the power up from receiving souls from units has a upper limit? (say after getting 50 souls with 3 star skill= 250% increase?) Does the accumulation of the souls carry over each wave in the stage? Does item equipped like 'power up' increase the % of necromancer's base states or total states after getting souls? Thanks and loving the update so far! I think the PVP change is good, less frustrating in finding opponents. two issues which I feel which hampers the enjoyment from the game is- 1. Yeti games are too long now, it was about right prior to update. its very boring sitting there for 3mins+ looking at the fight, and it does not feel epic or exciting. 2. Gold req for levelling heroes feel a little steep, especially the main way to acquire gold has been 'nerved' Otherwise great work and I will continue to be supporting the game!
Rank 4th leaderbiard ! Omg, still remember the day when I was like 200... Yeah, congratulation to me !
