I'll second that, though I enjoy the game. Patapon is the one that bothers me though.

I see no link at app, is there an art style that called "patapon"?, both Patapon, Rip Off and even some other games use Shadow Puppet art style, And where is the angry bird in here? Come on... I only found fruit ninja in this gameplay but the mix is fun and original.

Agreed there are only so many different types of art style that can be used so at some point games are gonna look similar it's the gameplay that counts

But you have to admit that the Patapon art style is very distinctive, so one can't help but make comparisons, since literally no other games use the same art style (not counting this and various others on the app store).
Regardless, I would consider it to be 'inspired' by Patapon, rather than being a ripoff as they did design their own unique sprites.

Wait, no game center? Why's that? Nice game otherwise... :)

People see no links to Patapon other than shadow art? Let's count them down then.

    1. Title font is pretty much identical to Patapon title font. And it includes the Patapon "eye" logo in the O and the horned Patapon character above the I.

    2. Title music is very similar to the style of tribal music used in Patapon.

    3. The font used in the objectives section and elsewhere is nearly identical to the fonts used in Patapon.

    4. The eggs are pretty much the same as the eggs seen in multiplayer modes in Patapon 2 and 3.

    5. The combo bar is placed exactly where it is in Patapon (the fever bar) and it has similar coloring.

    6. Finally, the various sprites are clearly heavily inspired by Patapon sprites, even if they can be dumped under a wide shadow puppet net.

And no links to Angry Birds? No doubt, the visual similarities aren't as striking as with Patapon, but it feeds on the simple 5 birds motif generated by Angry Birds.

So yeah, the gameplay is all fun and good, but this game is definitely a rip off.

Who care while we're talking about game? It's the gameplay that only get me.

And the creator of Patapon must be very curious right now as they suddenly own the shadow puppet art style like forever because of people like you. Lol :d If you love Patapon only because of the art, I feel sad for you.

We care because the devs of Rip Off are not creative enough to come up with a unique artstyle of their own. People have been sued for lesser infringements. Maybe we should be glad that Pyramid (the devs of Patapon) aren't as aggressive as other companies in defending their intellectual properties.

Also Fabyo, I noticed all the posts you made have been in Color Box game topics. Maybe you should stop defending them so much and accept their flaws :p

    Thanks, I strive to please.
By the way, putting aside the art issue, the game's decent. Not bad for a buck.

Actually, there're few secrets in Rip Off that can be found later while doing objectives.

Ex: If you note the hit count bar, each time you make a success hit and continuously, this bar will be counting, this is also a great time to earn double or triple scores as well as letting the ultimate boss to come, the greater hits achieved will lead to a more powerful boss that come chasing you.

Just bought this awhile ago. Sweet game :D. However imo there is still much that can be done to enhance the game.

Additional game modes: Story/Campaign/Boss Mode would be brriiiiliiannntt!

Ingame BGM: Seems like when the game starts there is no BGM playing at all, would love to hear some BGM playing when the game starts with the option of ON/OFF.

Power-ups: Right now, its just plain swishing and swooshing around the area, wouldn't it be great to have some occasional insane power-ups popping out? (For Example, Power Up A: When the bird swipes pass the powerup, it turns into some insane monster leaving a burning trail behind killing enemies that touches it, Power Up B: Time Lapse - Slows Time, Power Up C: Bird Swoops through the whole screen clearing all of the foes in a sec... etc.)

Larger Objective Wordings: Able to view it... but ain't the wordings just tooooooo small?

Ability To View Objectives When Playing Game (When Paused): Gotta quit from the game in order to view it now :(

    just my 2 cents :p

Thanks for those great feedbacks, we're managing a new update and will seriously considering this.

Also, the next update will be with Game Center.

Sanuku make great gameplay videos! No frilly nonsense or special effects, just a good 10-14 minutes of gameplay!

I know his videos have often made the difference for me when on the fence about some game.

I'm stucked at an objective which says : Perform 25 Combos... What am i suppose to do....? Tried different stuffs but still din't complete it~ Am i suppose to kill 25 mobs in one shot? My greatest 1-hit-kill combo i managed to pull off was 10.... seems like i cant do a 11 or more mob kill....

That objective offer you to make a combo chain to 25, it's mean you need to raise up your "Hit" to 25 :D
