Reviewed as Feywood in the NZ app store. ^_^ "Ringtone DJ is a very easy-to-use app which, as the name suggests, is designed to assist with the creation of ringtones. The interface is very clean and uncluttered, with separate sections for the main screen and the various additional features. The basic app (which is free) allows you to make any number of ringtones from the music on your iPod/iPhone or iTunes library, with each ringtone lasting a maximum length of 40 seconds. Choosing and manipulating the chunk of music to turn into a ringtone is as easy as selecting the song from a list, then highlighting the section of song using either virtual +/- buttons to adjust the timing, or touching and dragging start and end markers on the bar at the top of the screen. Once a ringtone has been created, it can be stored on the device or emailed, and help is available if needed to show how to apply the finished result. For more advanced tricks and effects, in-app purchases are available in the form of pitch and scratch effects, low-pass and high-pass filters, delay effects, and voice recording. These IAP options can be bought for $1.29 each, or $2.59 for all four, making the latter more attractive if you think it likely you'll use two or more of these effects. Each of the IAP effects has its own screen, each as cleanly-designed and intuitive as the main screen, which results in an attractive, consistent modern style throughout the app as a whole. The best parts of Ringtone DJ are the simplicity and intuitive controls; the app requires no instruction manual or tutorial to understand how to use the features, and even non-technically-minded folk will find it easy to understand how to create a ringtone from a piece of music. The app is fully functional in its free form, and the entirely optional IAP provides a dash of spice for those looking to put their own personal twist on their ringtone. Highly recommended."
