Pure class skill trees are also quite diverse, IMHO. The Barbarian (melee) class in particular has a twist that makes it very fun to play, even for those who normally dislike melee characters, like me .
True, and even though there was variation from a 'traditional' melee skill set, I felt that the barbarian's play-style was also very distinct, and had quite a different approach to the assassin for example. @ mattll: The quests in Rimelands are fixed.
okay and are there just "normal" RPG quests like kill ten wolves or bring me 6 troll skins or are there some quests which differ from those
haha, that's funny cause i'm usually an all out warrior lover but in this game, i preferred the assassin path!
Thankfully, the quests in Rimelands are about exploring an area and achieving an objective rather than killing X of Y . There are some light puzzle elements from time to time, too, to provide a little change of pace.
It's been submitted, so that's up to Apple now. If there are no delays, probably by the end of the week / early next week. I personally hope soon, but not too soon so we can get the trailer ready by release
pffff who needs a trailer, I want that game ^^ just kiddin, I'm really excited to see that trailer, too!
going to write apple a letter that the european release must be on sunday so i can play it on vacation otherwise ... ( gotta think what to put in here )
This might have come up already, so forgive me if my question is redundant; Is this game going to be universal (either upon launch, or in a promised update), or will there be an "HD" version? I'm amped for the game to drop, but I don't want to buy it for iPhone, only to discover that it will be released separately as an HD iPad app, which I must purchase as well. Thanks in advance for any info there.
The game is not universal (we were well into production by the time even the first rumors about iPad surfaced, let alone iPhone4). We don't have any roadmap for a HD version yet, but we don't want to screw our customers, so it's very improbable we'll make it a separate one.
Awful glad to hear it. I'm gonna trust you, then, and drop the dough as soon as this hits the app store.... With verbiage like "...we don't want to screw our customers", it's pretty clear that you know how early adapters will feel if it goes separate. Don't let me down!
Hope to see it out soon. Recently approval time still on the average of 7 days but game of such scale (rpg) will probably go through a longer review process.
