So that's a no then. Well that sucks. I simply don't play tilt based games on my ipad. Bummer. This looked awesome
Well I'm only a few games in but wow, what a fun game. As others have said the production values are sky high and the presentation is spot on. I can already tell that this is going to be a hard one to put down, vlambeer has really nailed the "just one more go" feel. Excellent stuff and highly recommended for the price.
@stfj Not a problem, man! Least I can do is give credit where it's due! Everything about this game is just so, so precise and refined and clean and *insert superlative adjective storm here*. I have to be up to go to the gym at 6:00 am my time, and here I am sorely tempted to play some more RF. well done, Sirs. Oh also, I forgot to mention in my original impressions: one HUGE improvement over the flash game is the little extra line dip and slight pause after you snag a fish. Brilliant design choice, since it gives you just enough time to plot your ascent (and catch any final stragglers who're next to you). It's an amazing addition. Massive props for making such a small thing on paper into a great design choice!
Is there a way to reset the line after you catch a fish, it's kind of annoying having to go through the hole process if u catch a fish too early.
In case you haven't heard this game has absolutely zero IAP, that alone almost warrants a purchase in my books, it just a pure and simple great game to enjoy with no worries about paywalls etc. As for controls yes they are great, it's not all gravy on an iPad in some positions, but it's not magic, just a great game. That's a hard compliment for me to give for any game with tilt controls, but if they make any game better, this is it
Props to the sound guy for the excellent soundtrack. It brings back great memories of playing Sonic 2 on my Megadrive for some reason. Is it weird that I feel a pang of guilt each time I catch turtle then blast it to smithereens? I feel like, morally, they should be the ones deducting cash rather than the jellyfish...:/
If you like the soundtrack, Phlogistons Bandcamp has the full soundtrack and a few bonus tracks! We are so, so, so thankful and overwhelmed by everything! Thank you so much!
Stupid question Apologies if this has been asked already, but apart from catching the requisite number of new species, how do you pull up the map?
