Only have two more fish left, but just want to say this game owns. I was a huge fan of SCB and have been waiting for this game for a very long time. I'm glad you guys finally got to release it and that it has been received so well.

and btw, there is no comparison between this game and its clone. aside from the fact that it completely ripped off radical fishing, ridiculous fishing is 100xs more responsive.

    Spoiler ?

Is the cowboy hat purely aesthetic ?

It's not listed anywhere. Vlambeer ?

Finally reached 1k at Maelstrom and though i adore the music here,
the idea of random/optional music sounds great.

You can use a Windows/Mac app called iFunBox. Google it. Pretty easy.

I got the moray without the pirate hat. Not sure if the hat would increase the likelihood of it appearing...

I finally managed to get the Mimic after playing on Maelstrom for about 2 hours. I was wearing the Army Hat at the time, but I don't think it has anything to do with which hat you are wearing. There were about 4 stationary groups of 3-4 Mimics at around 500m, although I'm guessing the depth is irrelevant, too. My local time was 23:08 when I caught it.

Also, I noticed that people were saying that it is 'disguised' as a jellyfish, but that isn't true - it looks exactly like it does in its Fish-O-Pedia entry:

So, I guess my only advice is to just keep playing Maelstrom again and again until you find it.

what do you mean by 4 stationary groups ?

the fish lined-up like this : XXXX ?
if that's so, that's pretty easy to spot...

just need to play more i guess...

They were actually in sort of diagonal lines on each side of the screen like this:

EDIT: The scale in the picture is slightly off, so they are actually smaller in the game, and the groups didn't extend as far into the centre.

But I wouldn't rely on them being in the same formation and stationary every time.

Since I had been playing Maelstrom so much, they stood out straight away because of their white colouring and distinct shape.
