Two requests: 1) Allow me to unequip my hat / go back to the standard fishing hat. 2) Only show NEW! on items that are actually new (i.e. the first time I've seen them in the store, not every single time... This is why I bought the cap in the first place to get rid of that (1) and now I'm stuck with both it and (x) notifications whenever I have money to buy things!)
Yeah, I wish I could change hats. I finally tried this for a bit and it is fun. I don't think it's the greatest thing ever, but it is addicting - it plays quickly enough that one-more-try happens.
Awesome game. Never played a tilt game for so long. Gotta say that I hated playing this on my iPad so I put it on my iPhone 4S and I'm enjoying this a lot. I downloaded Ninja Fishing first to see if I liked the style, bought Ridiculous and I gotta say that when I tried to come back to Ninja, the tilt controls seemed way worse than this one. Highly recommended although I wouldn't be playing this (or any tilt game) if I only had the iPad.
The TA Plays for this is the best thing I've heard in a long time, you guys have to join in every time you release a new game.
Ummm like Rayman's Jungle Run or The Room? They usually go heavy on games that are suitable to most ages and utilize ios type controls.
Ya, with a stick you would only move at a set pace. With tilt, can you move faster or slower depending on the degree of the tilt so it really doesn't translate. If your iPad is too heavy for you, may I suggest getting some exercise?
I am pretty sure that you just select the hat you want in the shop and tap the "EQUIP IT!" button, same goes for Weapons and Lures. I had a question for Vlambeer about the Lures. I noticed that in the shop that ALL Reels and ALL Tech is equipped at the same time, however you can only have 1 Lure equipped at a time. So my question is, does each new lure have all of the abilities of all the items above it? Like if I buy the Massive Fuel Tank do I still have the hover ability or do I have to pick one or the other?
I don't really get how the shop works, but I have the 4 most expensive items under lure all equipped. I think you are going to want to buy all 4.
Yes, but if you only own one hat, there's no way to un-equip it and go back to the hat you started with. (i.e. the fishing hat is not there to equip)
Screenshots don't do this game justice. I was thinking "ok, it looks cool but people seem to be a little over-excited about the graphics." After playing the game ony iPod 5, it is really one of the best looking games out there and the gameplay is excellent. Put me down as somebody who generally avoids tilt controls (aside from racing games), but I have no problem here. Easily 5 stars and if it's possible, this may be more fun than Super Crate Box. Don't wait for a sale on this one. These guys have earned every penny of the $2.99 they are asking for and more.
This seems totally similar to Ninja Fishing. My question is: how similar are these two? (later edit) Just to clarify - I didn't play NF much, and I'm not a big fan. Just need to know how much more better / how much more different RF is.
Ridiculous Fishing takes every single gameplay mechanic that NF ripped off of Radical Fishing and perfects it. Ridiculous Fishing is much, much better than its clone. The things that likely irritated you about NF (clunky controls, paywalls, grinding) are nowhere to be found in Ridiculous Fishing.
Is this game worth $3? I just bought Little Inferno for $1 today so now I'm down to my last 3, and I'm a little skeptical because I got ninja fishing for $1. This would be a no brainer for $2..... But not sure about 3
