You are wrong. "I Am T-Pain" is the perfect example that apps CAN do more with your own music than just listen to them.
Developers have stated many times that Apple doesn't allow developers to analyse music, but only play it in the background, which is what the I am T-Pain app does. Why else would Beat Rider and Tap Studio have to use different methods of using the users music to get round it?
I Am T-Pain also uses the music to create an Auto-Tune remix of it. Whatever the problem is, it is what it is, let's just be happy we have Riddim Ribbon for now...:/

Ugh still no word from Tapulous on the freakin day of! I wish I knew what time it is going to be released in USA EST, rumors say not til Tuesday but please please let's hope not.
It's only four over here on the west coast. At best, I'll be able to download it this evening, at worst, I won't get it until Tuesday. I saved about 6 dollars of the giftcard I got for my birthday just for Riddim Ribbon. I can't wait to buy this game, but I'm worried that there won't be enough depth to the gameplay to keep me coming back. The videos that tapulous has released so far have been far too short for me to get a solid impression of the game.
No one knows for sure, but most people are assuming anywhere from 99c to 5 dollars. I don't think this one will be free since it features music from a premium artist, and like the artist editions of Tap Tap, it's going to cost.
It's confirmed not to be free as Tapulous listed "a free copy of Riddim Ribbon" as a prize for some contest they are having, thus obviously meaning that without winning the contest, Riddim Ribbon will not be free. The most convincing thing I've heard so far is $4.99 and that doesn't include DLC packs *sigh*. Also since this company is located in CA, I'll place bets that it won't be released before Midnight PST at the earliest, being 3 AM EST at the earliest, which sucks for some of us :/
Generally if this was the case then NZ would have it by now. I could be wrong, but it seems that Tapulous is going to put it out everywhere at one time.
I think so too, it's not out in NZ yet, and you are right, the company is based in LA, so probably it will be released at 3 AM ET.
it's only 1:55pm in NZ.. they still have 10 hours to release the game on time in NZ. and i havnt seen any big companies put it out at one time.. phew long time lol...
