Quick tip: when you implement the API don't use the .pressed property of the controller buttons. This is only true when the buttons are pressed at 0.25 (all buttons are analog, on a range of 0-1). Either just check for their .value property to be greater than 0.0, or even better, provide a sensitivity slider in the options to let users pick a value they like. This helps the controls to feel more responsive.

This is one of the best games I have ever played. It can stand proudly alongside Super Metroid, Megaman and the DS Castlevanias.
Haha, we will try to work on that Also! Thanks for all the votes on GOTW! You guys are awesome! If you are reading this and haven't voted (and like the game) please go vote Rex Rocket up! Spread the word!
MFi controls anytime soon? Im enjoying the game, but me constantly glancing on the controls is taking me away from totally immersing myself in the game. Too many dedicated buttons which i think can be streamlined a bit.
Yup I'm having a blast playing this.. My favorite platformer on iOS yet.. Anything castlepixel dishes out I'm buying
Yeah! I've started looking into it. Does anyone have a suggestion on which MFi controller I should get to test with?
Yeah, I gotta agree with that! Seeing all those buttons is a bit off-putting for me and is the reason I didn't grab this right away and, quite frankly, still!
Dude I'm about to buy it for you lol.. The controls aren't bad at all.. Take the plunge, you won't be disappointed.. The game doubles in price days from now ######
I highly recommend this game even with those onscreen controls. After a while, I have almost the amount of precision as having a physical controller. Last night I was play like a god. I wish I could have recorded the insanely precise movement while I was gaming.
