Hmmm... Lag is back, but only occasional. I can deal with it. The eyecandy is just too sweet!

Are there any plans for a map option? Not a constant on screen map, but maybe a toggle or in the menu?

You guys should also get on Twitter and get a fanbase going. Google connect isn't as popular. :)

The lag that everyone is experiencing is the explosion models being loaded in I believe, so that the first time you load up the game and play an explosion it will take a sec to read it. We should just be able to pre-load the models before game start and I think it should fix this problem. I'm just the artist though and we'll know for sure when Jaap is back online (Australia time) and can confirm this.

Thanks! I appreciate you going back and changing your rating after giving the game a shot.

Never been so torn about a game. It looks fantastic, but when I actually get it, I wonder if I'll be cussing myself for buying it with all the lag on my 2G iPod Touch.

    Oh, the choices...

to the artist first of all the graphicals look insane so if i was to buy it then it would be for that reason but for the iphone 3gs is there lag issues with the game i guess there will be a fix soon anyway but just as a word of advice

Edit: Screw it with the amount of effort you guys have put into making this game and because of how beautiful the graphics look u deserve my £1.19 ;)

  8. Man, you guys are making me feel like an incompetent beta-tester. D:

But yeah, I also encountered some of the framerate issues while testing this. I didn't think it was bad really, but my opinion might be slightly biased. Definitely worth the money.

    My personal opinions following.
Tried both the iPad and Phone (3Gs) version.
On the Phone i didn't notice so much lag other than the explosions issue, maybe the onscreen controls are too big for the screen itself. Overall, IMO the game runs quite smoothly as far as i played it (both Arena and Story mode).
On the iPad i found a more laggy game, i mean...The overall movement of the game is not so fluid, the frame rate seems not as good as i expected from this device, but obviously the screen size let the player have much more control and the onscreen controls themselves are not so intrusive as on the iPhone. I think, and i hope, that this "issue" can be fixed by the devs that deserve, in my opinion, thumbs up to be completely honest about the problems that the game is showing in this first version.
The cutscenes are very good, i like the drawing style and their art, and the voiceover is to appreciate too.
The camera mode is maybe what i found most "irritating", with its use of fingers on the screen, and i think this is a point the devs should refine.
Music and sound effects are very good, and playing with earphones is highly recommended.
So, keep up the good work guys!

So does this run well on a 2nd gen?

  14. Define "well." It was playable for me during the last few levels, if that counts.

I mean, does it lag, chop up a lot, freeze, crash? Or is it smooth and feels good?

ok on iphone 3gs the lag is only occasional which is good :) however if there was a way you could maybe increase the pace of the game on survival mode for example until about round three you have to go and find the enemies but other than that great - loving the graphics :D

  17. The app has never crashed in-game during beta-testing, but there is definitely very noticeable "lag" in the later levels. Like Graphicalgeek said though, they're working on performance tweaks right now. If you're interested in this, I'd say to buy it now before the price goes up.
