3gs "There may be some lag on later levels for 2G-3G users, so please be aware of this before buying if you own a 2G-3G device" Does that include 3GS?
Game Impressions There is considerable slowdowns even on the iPhone 4 as things blow up, and enemies swarm. You can turn off the shell casing effect, and that helps to some extent. Still it feels like more should have been tweaked. The game is about 3 hours long, with only one boss battle. Survival mode is quite fun, and lengthens gamelife considerably. I did a preview on this game months back on another site, and I was blown away back then. I had hoped for more content though, and a better presentation of the story. As twin stick shooters go Revolt is is definately among the better. Some tweaks such as adding iPod support, reducing slowdowns and adding powerup pickups would certainly enhance it. The slowdowns are actually worse on my iPhone 4 with the finished product than with the beta and an iPhone 3GS. My name on that other site I usually hang at is Kamblad.
I chuckled when I say this, haha, an unintentional smiley snuck in there I beta tested this game and all I can say is, if you have $2 to spend, GET THIS GAME NOW!
what legowiz said. it wasnt my cup of tea, but i see the entertainment value, and the production values are amazing too.
That's an ok game so far. My complains: - controls could be more responsive. It takes me like 5 taps to be able to change view perspective. - levels could be a bit more varied. They all kinda feel the same with just different lightning.
The only device I had through the entire development was my 1G IPT, and while the game is generally playable, it does not play very smoothly and there are points in the game on the later levels where its is really, really choppy and taps to switch weapons or throw grenades don't get recognized. Survival can get pretty choppy as well since there is extra pathfinding that is needed that does not happen in Story mode.
