Well IF so, the developers Kristopher Peterson and Jaap Kreijkamp made up their minds, and decided they are doing better by themselves.
Lol about the wife. As for making midnight come early... there's a blood ritual involved; very messy. And of course you'd have to change all of your clocks, and it would mess up your sleep schedule. It's probably more trouble than it's worth. Although you would get to skip going to work for a day. Tough call. Oh, also: Satan would eat your soul... But man, the game looks awfully promising.
So glad to see this - I'd been psyched when I saw the earlier coverage, but meanwhile I'd forgotten the name and was afraid I'd miss it when it came out! Instant buy
Game Impressions So I got a bit of playtime with this game, particularly the tutorial and a good part of level 1, and I have some initial impressions... I'll just start off by saying that this certainly isn't just another Minigore or iDracula clone. No, this game is a whole different beast. Right off the bat, you can tell that this game is going to be more tactical than any dual stick shooter out there. While the first basic enemies can be taken out with a shot or two of your pistol, as soon as they start to vary, you can immediately tell that that weak little pistol just won't do the job anymore. Not only that, but all guns aside from the pistol have limited ammo, which isn't all that much in the scope of things. If you decide to reload before emptying a clip, you lose whatever ammo was in that clip, similar to games like Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 and Alien Swarm. Simply put, you'll be managing your guns like crazy. Tactics play a major role in this game, with tons of destructible environments (anything that looks destructible probably is), dodge rolling, ammo, weaponry, and probably more as the game progresses. The game looks awesome too, with some really nice 3D graphics, especially for a top-down shooter like this. The environments look great and set a tone perfect for the game's rather dark storyline, which looks like it's going to be pretty impressive later on. The first cutscene is drawn extremely well, and sets a great tone for the rest of the game. The only thing is that it lags quite a bit on the iPod Touch 2G, and similar devices. Admittedly, I haven't restarted it yet, but it should at least get a bit better once I do. As per the description, though, it does get pretty laggy once the action picks up. I'm not sure how it'd run on an iPod or iPhone 1G, but I'm pretty sure it's not well at all. Take caution before playing on either of those devices. Otherwise, this game is awesome so far. It's definitely going to be worth both the entry and full prices, and is finally an original entry into the dual-stick shooter genre.
i just wish you had a game like this, only it was set in an urban environment and not this sci-fi realm.
In the US, so going to be checking the app store tonight after handing out candy to the neighborhood kids. Can't wait!
"Not recommended for 1G devices"? <expletive> it, I'll buy it anyway! I've been waiting for this day since February, and you expect me to let a little lag get between me and Revolt?
This is pretty cool so far, nice opening sequence.Only played a couple of levels but looks well polished and a lot of fun so far.Definately worth it at the opening price. [hqyoutube]9cHo4GNc0bk[/hqyoutube]
