Not on my 4g ipod touch. I am on the 4th level, got about 2 Mins in then I got an email. Double clicked the home button, went into my mail app. Read the email, double clicked home button again, tapped revolt icon, and it loaded the splash screen then the main menu. I had to click story then easy then the 4th level again and i staryed from the beginning. So it could be an issue with the game, or with my device. I doubt its the device as Other apps work perfectly with the multi tasking feature...there is a possibility though that its my device. I shall investigate further.
I'm finally getting into level 4 think, and ramped some up for me. Bigger baddies in groups on occasion and with stronger weapons (?) it seems. I'm also able to buy better weapons. Very cool. I'm actually kind of liking this game more than before. Although it sucks from the lag and hoping for a quick update on this and also really wish for a map. But that won't keep me from playing a still terrific game. Still worth the game play, imo
I've been playing this game on and off in between others and it's great for pick up and play. I'm on the 6th stage now and things improve and are much better once you are able to upgrade your weapons. It starts off slow with only a few enemies, but now it's getting pretty exciting. I don't have any issues with the graphics or slow down, they do not hamper the experience for me. My only gripe is with the darn heartbeat when my energy get's low. I'm playing on hard mode so health packs are far and few in between and the heartbeat for low energy get's a little annoying. Having fun with this, well worth the price!
I'm on the 4.th level, and things are really starting to happen now. The occasional slowdown doesn't bother me either, it's doesn't happen very often on my iPad. The heartbeat when Guy's health runs low is giving a great sense of urgency to the game, and really pumps the adrenalin in my body when there's less than 10% health left... The robots starts to get much bigger after level 3 but fortunately so does your weapons. It's a nice strategic touch that the largest weapons, such as the rocket launcher, restricts you from moving while firing it, the devs really thought this through. My only gripes with the game is the way the camera is controlled and the way grenades are thrown; I hardly ever use the grenades due to the placement of the button for this (too far up on the screen on iPad), and the fact that you have to swipe to toss them. It would be better if the button was much lower on the screen and it was made possible to just press the button and the grenade just went the way Guy was facing. The camera controls are just plain annoying, it's so close to the center of the screen, which makes it a mess to use, please make it automatic or at least move it closer to the edge of the iPad. Other than that, and those things should be relatively easy to remedy, it's a great, great game, far better than other twinstick shooters IMO.
