can you explain how to get some of the achievements? and what leaderboards the high score uses mainly? like what score does it use? story mode, survival etc

I would really like to see more upgrades as games with lots of upgrades keeps me replaying them the most.

I assume just Survival Mode as the score is MEANINGLESS in Story since it adds the score of level replays and is simply the combined score of all Story games played which is really kind of silly (it should simply be the BEST score of each level played combined).

While I can't claim the AI of the enemies is anything that advanced, the enemies really FEEL like independent thinking entities as opposed to most Dual Stick's mindless zombie mobs that simply fly straight at you without any thought.

Thanks for the reply. I like where the game is headed and i can REALLY see this becoming even bigger with added competitive multiplayer, no AI enemies just using gamecenter for u and a few others to connect and frag each other.

ANYONE have any tips for the game and whatnot? I waste alot of ammo on shots because i cant get it to aim that great alot. what are some good tips fro this game?

It is all about run and gunning, as far as I can tell. Run by, note where you last saw them and go down a narrow corridor with them following right behind you. Then suddenly, especially when you see they are nearby, fire a few blind shots back down the narrow hall you know they must be heading down. Is you no longer hear them (nor see shots coming down the corridor) they must be dead. ;)

I somehow 'feel' that this could be like Gun Bros, but hopefully without the bat-in-your-face heavy handed attempt at forcing to use DLC.

then again, i have no interest in DLC or multiplayer...

IAP/DLCs can be a cool thing if not just a bunch of re-skins, a sleazy pay to play, or something where EVERYTHING in the game is sold individually via IAPs that one could never earn the cash in-game.

    Any plans for extreme/insane difficulty?

Ohh, someone earlier in the thread looked like they knew what's up...

    save/resume

Is there no save/resume feature or am I just missing it? I'd say the story missions are long enough to warrant being able to pick up where you left off if you have to quit (and not just by multitasking).

    Ok great game, though there are a few issues;

Please add FULL retina display support. The UI is not retina enhanced and I am not very pleased. I did not spend $3.00 for a half assed retina enhanced game.

Multitasking Support: If I need to take a call, or if I got an important email in the middle of a level, I would have to restart the entire level over again. Frankly this is a huge over site by the devs.

Framerate issues: Having played this game on both an iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4 I experienced major frame rate drops and short game freezes. It occured about 2-5 times a level. This should not be happening on these devices.

Other than the above, I have not seen any other problems. I really would like to see full retina support as the game right now is a huge dissapointment (for me) in that area. Really cheap thing to do. (In my opinion.)

This is another thing that should be addressed, along with multitasking, that is.

Correct, you didn't spend $3, the game is $2. Cheapass.

Boohoo. A phone's not for gaming. Get iPod or iPad.

Do a little reading and you'll see that a fix is coming.

  14. And yet, you can game on it. Funny, that..

I do agree about absolutely needing to be able to resume where you left off though. State saving should be mandatory for all games. I play it on my iPad so it doesn't really matter, but I do want to install it on my iPhone, too, and will -- as soon as it supports state saving and fast app switching.

For $2 though it's hard to complain about the lack of retina support. It'd be nice though.

Sorry meant $2.00...I was thinking it was $3.00. And I am not saying its a bad game, its a phenomenal game, but those semi-minor issues are hindering my liking of it.

We could probably add an insane mode pretty easily. :)

5 pistol shots to take down a crab...

OK let me rephrase my response, seeing as how my last one was deleted by the mods.

I am sorry for having an opinion, if you like to harass people based on their opinions, then there are some things you need to work out. I made sure to use "In my opinion" and "for me" to avoid being flamed by the likes of people like you. I have both the iPhone 4 and iPod touch, and im pretty sure they are not only phones, but gaming machines as well. I use mine for gaming, and so does every other member on this site. I was mistaken on the pricing point, OH NOES, a mistake. Your ridiculous response calling me a "cheapass" was not warranted by what I had said. I would appreciate it if you refrained from flaming people based solely on their opinions.

    Fantastic game.

Apart from the usual framerate issues already discussed, I would appreciate seeing a couple of other things.

For starters, a minimap would be nice. With many of the rooms looking the same in each level, it can be tough finding your way around.

Second, more enemies! It feels like you have to go hunting for then laboriously kill each one. Maybe I've been playing too many shmups, but it would be nice to see tons of badguys to plow through.

And lastly, a minor change. Making a less abrupt beginning and ending to the music. Having the action music jarringly stop moments after the last enemy in the area is destroyed kinda breaks the pace.

Even without those things, I'm still thoroughly enjoying Revolt.
