If you don't hear from him, you should change your review at the App Store. In fact, I'll leave a review regarding integrity as well. And; other members can do the same. How about, from now on, when a dev doesn't follow through on their contest commitments, that as many members willing, that members can all leave 0 or 1 star ratings with a short review about the dev's lack of support, etc... I wouldn't want anyone to lie. That's not what I am about. So, keep posting and let us know if you recieve your prize or even hear from him. Hopefully he's just sick or something and I'll edit this post. But if not....
Finally got paid today I also would never go back and give a dev a low review for their app if I liked it and originally give it a good rating, the fact that they didn't live up to their end of the deal should not change the fact if the app was good. It's not a good practice and basically says you're opinion is for sale. I refuse to tell people that a app is the greatest in hopes of getting a GC cause I've been on the other end of that where I got purchased a game because everyone give it high praises, but in the end it was a crappy game. Trust me I've been shafted many times by devs for contests but it's not worth destroying someone's livelihood over, we sometimes forget that we are only a small piece of a large gaming pie
I 'kinda' get your point, there was a dev in another thread who tried to cheat with the winner, yet everyone 'seemed' to like the game as they gave it 5 stars. So it works both ways, i make sure devs dont cheat, yet on the other hand lots of users here 'cheat' by giving a glowing 5 star review just to win a game. So works both ways really, just as bad as each other i hate to say. But leaving a dev a 1 star rating for his app as he didnt seem to announce a winner here to me is just as bad as a user posting a 5 star review for an app which they're obviously just doing it as they think it'll help them win the competition. Works both ways as i say If there are ever any competitions where the winner might look suspicious just report it and we can take a look.
