I purchased a Android based Xoom (32gb wifi) last week and after 4 or 5 days of total frustration I returned it. I know there has been a lot of debate about which is better Xoom or iPAD 2 and here is my take after owning both. As far as the hardware goes the Xoom is very nice well made solid and comfortable to play with in Landscape mode my problem with the whole experience was the debacle they call the Android Market. After 4 days of trying to purchase apps and getting declined with my MC Debit which I called my bank and was told the problem was not on there end I decided to make a late night run and pick up a Visa Gift card and that was no better declined also. I really wanted to try a couple of game apps that were designed for the Tegra chip and have never been more frustrated with the lack of customer support as I experienced with the Android Market. If the Android based system have any chance of any market share they better get there $#it together.

Sorry for the rant getting back to which system is better
1:Screen= easy winner iPad 2 the Xoom screen was not as clear and the glare was awful Compare the 2 side by side and there is no comparison.

2: Processing power I really could not see a difference both are very powerful I really don't know the tech specs but I believe most testing gave and edge to the Xoom.

3: Use of Apps: hands down the iPAD 2 easier to get load and play apps and a lot of iPOD apps work with the iPAD 2 and look great too.

4: Build Quality didn't have an issue with either both are nicely made units and seem very durable.

5: Net Surfing: The Xoom for the simple fact is uses flash and the iPad does not. For the most part it has not been a huge issue not having flash the text is easier to read on the iPad kinda makes up for not having flash.

6: Overall: easy choice for me iPAD 2. In away I am glad I had the problems with the Android Market because I feel that I would have ended up with the wrong choice if I would have been able to purchase Android apps.

Final Note: If and when they fix all the issues with the Android Market and Google gets a better Customer Service Dept. I would own Xoom or another an Android base table again as long as there were enough Android only game Apps to justify the purchase. Kinda the same reason I own a PS3 and not just a Xbox 360.
