Thought all new games had to be full screen for it ? Bit frustrating if your finger moves off the small d-pad and then your character just stops. Be nice if it had a floating d-pad or the hit areas were bigger. Went into the menu and got stuck Does have potential though, not just a 'Zelda' type game, quite good so far. Wish it was full screen though Lull4by Well-Known Member Aug 21, 2014 767 313 63 #6 Lull4by, Oct 30, 2018 There are many details in the game, it brings me old school game vibes, I would like to take some time into it. But yeah the game’s control need some work, and sadly it doesn’t support MFI controller, but it is still good. I hope the dev fixes this soon cause I’d love to play it! stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #12 stubbieoz, Jan 16, 2019 I don’t see any iap’s?? And the lag is a bit painfull for sure. It appears the game needs some serious optimising for mobile. I play it on my iPad Pro and it does slow down heaps at times. There is an item and a piece of armour I have seen so far that are supposed to increase walking speed. Didn’t have enough ingame gold to purchase them yet though. Combat does not appear to be affected by any slow down however. On the large iPad I don’t have a problem with the controls at all, probably due to the dpad being larger. It’s early days but it seems like it could be a good game. The lag issue will kill it though if not fixed. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 830 397 63 Male 95% leisure. Also I am going to be asking for a refund anyway. The sluggish gameplay on my iPad Pro is making the game too frustrating to play. (I also tried playing it on my old iPad 3 with iOS 9, which the app store description says it should work on, and it played like a slide show). However it seems to play okay on my iPhone 8 plus but I don’t play games on that device if a game uses a dpad/joystick due to my arthritis. EDIT: I contacted the developer about the sluggish gameplay and their response is that it must be something to do with my iPad Pro 12.9” and they don’t have one to test it on. If anyone here can play the game on a normal sized iPad could you post here how it runs please. I get the feeling that the dev is not too interested in fixing it. Somewhere in a town amidst the Amazon jungle. http://www.google.com #16 sebgo, Jan 17, 2019 I've only requested refunds twice and it's been pretty smooth for me. One for technical issues with some AssAssIn's Creed online game that wouldn't connect no matter what (even on very stable internet connections) and one for I wasn't sure whether the offered product would be finished within the initial price tag or come in pieces/episodes of paid DLC (Candleman; thankfully it did and I plan to repurchase at a later date). And about this game, Retro Knight, it looks like the only feedback we have here and dev's response is leaning towards the negative side. That's too bad. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #17 stubbieoz, Jan 18, 2019 The developer got back to me. He told me “well the bottom line is this: I can’t really make the game any faster for older devices, and I’ve only tested this game on phones, so I don’t know how it works on iPads (Pro, Mini, or original)”. In all fairness he offered me to have any of his other games for free as compensation, but that’s not the point. He does not know how this game performs on any iPad, though he is selling it as an iPhone/iPad game. I said in all fairness perhaps he should consider just removing the ability to purchase the game for iPads until he can get some beta testers with iPads to see if the game works on any iPad. No response. So just be aware. I know the game plays fine on a iPhone 8 plus, so if you have one of those or a newer phone then my guess is the game should work fine. Anything else,,,,, well you have been warned.
