I downloaded the lite version of Monkey Island 2 for the iPhone to see how it would look on my iPad prior to buying it. It looks like the retina update doesn't display correctly on the iPad. It seems like only a small portion of the game (the lower left corner chunk) fills the entire iPad playing area, so I can't even see where the main character is--all I see is the ground. I've tried reinstalling it, but it's still the same. I also see that another reviewer in the app store has described the same thing. Has anyone noticed a similar problem with any of the other retina-enabled games? I am hoping this is an isolated problem. If not, it will really limit the games iPad owners can buy...not to mention lost sales for developers!
Right, but it should at least be able to display correctly in a non-retina form without such distortion of the graphics, I would think... Otherwise it should not be described as compatible with iPad.
