Everything is working great. Some games need a iPad mini retina optimization, but everything I've played works and looks great.

Does those with the new retina iPad Mini encounter the screen image retention issue? The media is really hyping it up and mine will not ship until next week...

.Once I played iBomber defense, and it said "can not render image" but the game worked perfectly fine after that. But other than that, Not at all. My iPad mini with retina display is working perfectly.

well for me the performance is lacklustering. i dont see any speed bump over my ipad4, at least not in the games i tried yet.

oceanhorn for example feels smoother on the 4 but i did not play faar on the ipad4 since there is no cloud sync.

Try one of the A7 optimized games like infinity blade 3 or sky gamblers storm raiders. But if you want to see a number proving the speed, run geek bench. My iPad mini with retina display crushes my iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 gets a 720 on single core, and 1300 on dual core. In comparison, my iPad mini with retina display gets 1380 on single core and 2500 on dual core. I know the iPhone 5 had an A6 and the iPad 4 an A6X, but you should get similar results.

true on this. the gfxbench shows it all. my iphone 5/ipad 4 only runs at 6-8/10-12fps at native res. while the mini retina can run smooth @30/40fps

are you sure you're not getting the wrong version of mini? LOL, jk :D

The performance of the 4 is simply outstanding.

How did you set the number of cores that your iPhone gets to use? 5C user here.

Just run the app, and it will do both single core tests and dual core.
