      Hi all! Well, I restored my iPod touch to 4.0. I made a backup before hand (I was jailbroken) and now, when I restore from backup, a pop-up says Estimating Time Remaining, it doesn freeze but it makes no progress. I have iOS 4 now, and am no longer jailbroken, but how do i get my data back? If it helps I found the backup on my computer?

      PS, I couldnt find the mass iOS 4 upgrade help thread?

      I think Apple upgraded itunes, so that you can't put in jailbroken apps or something like that.

      there not. I was jailbroken. I deleted all that stuff and then restored to 4.0. SO, theres no trace of it.

      It's hidden in the update. iTunes 9.1.2 or whatever the latest one is, had a more secure anti jailbroken sync thingy.

      but i was on 9.2 when i restored. that shouldnt be a proble at all.

      yeah....the put something in there thats doing your problem..it probably saw the your backup was from a jail broken ipod..so..your stuck

      I dont get it. I have all my data, its all there. But, it just wont go on to the new os.?

      you made your backup when your ipod was jail broken...you can restore from a jailbroken backup

      anything? I got it to restore fro the backup, but its not putting the apps nor the game data on the ipod

      nope, never was. But, I did manage to get it working completely with all my saves and data there, I only had to restore from the same back like 20 times, but it worked!
