I completely agree with what others have said about the look and feel of the game: it's beautiful and the sense of speed is fantastic. However, there are a couple of issues that have been preventing me from enjoying Repulze more completely.

The tilt controls are just... off. I've tried various sensitivity settings but don't see much difference between them. It seems like the degree of tilt doesn't reliably predict the degree of the craft's turn, until I tilt too much and immediately slam into the side. I usually prefer tilt controls because they are more precise than touch controls for things like steering, but for now I'm sticking with touch.

The intro before each trial is jarring. I make my course and craft selection, then suddenly I'm spinning around my craft with 3 seconds to go. It's not a huge issue and doesn't really harm playability, but it's something I notice every time.

Those gripes aside, I'm very pleased so far and can't wait to see how the game evolves!

I don't know if already discussed... But despite the banner say that I need more "key" to unlock levels, if I try to open it, all levels are already playable. It's a bug?
    Thanks

In iTunes or in the AppStore on your iDevice, find the 'Redeem' link (in iTunes, it should be in the first page that pops up when you go into the store, on your iDevice, go to the Featured tag, and it'll be at the bottom of the page), and it'll ask you to put the code in. Sign in (if you're already signed in, it'll still ask you for your PW), and then it's yours. =o)

    Hope you enjoy it!

  11. Yeah, sorry, kind of ended up hijacking this thread with all the hdmi posts. But I am happy to see a dedicated post for hdmi in the general forum. There's a couple of games that run really well on hdmi, and this is one of them for sure. Really gives you a wipeout console like experience.

  12. Sure makes it difficult to play this game while drinking for sure! :p

How the hell are you guys getting those times? My approach was to get through as many missions (ignoring the time ones) then go back and work on the time missions. And even with being a Senior Engineer and using the last car I unlocked, I'm still struggling to even beat the time challenges.

Is there a best approach ... like saving your boosts until you have all three before using them? Seemed to help me a bit with making sure that during the non-boost times I was always hitting the right colored gate.

Still, I guess I just really suck.

Pretty much you've gotta get every gate you can, and use every boost you get. As far as I know. It doesn't matter if you save all 3 of them or use them right when you get them, but if you save them, you run the risk of having a full boost meter and not getting a boost from a 3rd gate...

Running through and getting EVERY gate, like the hardcore challenge, is great practice. I usually go through each stage and get the no crash one first, then the gates challenge, and then the time. But if I miss out on one gate I restart. I'm gonna have to go back and replay the first couple of stages again tomorrow, especially the second one to try and beat Mr. Andy's score. =oP

But then I also gotta go back and replay the last half of the game to try and better my times on those... I pretty much just moved on once I got the hardcore time completed... =oP
