Wow. Trailer looks great. Much more in depth and now I'm much more excited for Wednesday night. This is gonna be a record setter ladies and gentlemen.
Tweets from Mark Brown worry me... might have to wait for a patch on this one, though I am confident the game will be fixed at some point. After watching the interview with Payton, he made it seem like they were still in the tweaking stage when they submitted the game, which would explain why Mark Brown was frustrated with it. I'm sure after camoflaj puts the finishing touches on it will be fine, and since this is pretty much his entire life right now, I know he'll listen to fan feedback. Because of this I might still instabuy.
@Brrobotix Sorry about that, looks like that 2nd part (about controls) was aimed at Tomb Raider , I'm not sure.. Removed it for now. IGN has "more exclusive coverage coming this week" - that would explain why Republique info is NDA'd till Thursday
Well that's good news. I guess complaining about the controls would violate the NDA anyway. Oh well, guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
I'm sure they'll put out a release patch. Developers do it all the time. With all the money/time invested in this I don't think they would release this game unless it was meticulously tested. I expect nothing less. So get pumped broooo!
Nice, I guess it only made sense for it to be this week. It's too bad they went with embargoes on this because this probably needs more word of mouth coverage on sites like TA. The trailer looks cool, and I wish I had been a backer now because I'd get the game for less. Still, $5 for a few hours of play is good enough for me.
Looks like they gave IGN some exclusive info. I'm sure they're giving a few other sites some exclusive stuff as well. Seems like they're focusing more on the mainstream gaming population with their marketing, vs. dedicated iOS gaming communities.
Looking forward to this shipping, backed the KS and chomping at the bit to play it. Its a shame there hasn't been anything really on TA about it, with the Xmas rush it can do with all the help it can get
Probably someone did demand the NDA in return of a Feature of their Website. Actually funny that they went that way with someone that has abandoned Mobile Gaming since Months. Well, seems like they already noticed that they got a shitty deal. Wondering how fast the NDA will get removed this time. I give it less then six Hours
While I hope you're right, Sanuku, I think if they made a deal for exclusive coverage, they have to honor it. Still, if I was going to go with a more mainstream site for such a deal, it definitely wouldn't be IGN. They reach a huge audience, but I'm afraid that's also the audience that isn't so inclined to pay more than a buck for stuff on iOS. Surely TA reaches more iOS users than IGN, but I think everyone still remembers the cold shoulder the dev got in regards to previous coverage... justified or not.
Yeah I think they're banking on getting console gamers to finally think of ios as a real gaming platform, but based on the comments I've seen on IGN that won't be happening for a while. I think they're better off with iOS and mobile gaming dedicated sites, like TA, pocketgamer, Slide to Play, etc.
The thing is, it's simply under-powered. Maybe the game started out a lot simpler, but from what we can see in the trailer, it looks like it demands a more powerful device. And no matter what they had hoped to support at the beginning, you're not really guaranteed anything when you back something on Kick Starter (which is one of the valid reasons TA has for not covering them before they're actually launched).
