Yep I know. But there's something else going on, looks like Apples servers can't communicate with Camo's (I've been double charged before, and reimbursed, but it's a hassle to go through). But just saw that they (Camouflaj) did mention on twitter 1hr or so ago that they're working on fixing whatever is wrong.
Just to reiterate this point. You will be charged again for the season pass if you have previously purchased it. The best process is to select "restore purchases" in the settings menu (gear icon). Once done that, just select the season pass. A pop up will appear saying you will not be charged for this again. Then App Store standard process will kick in. It will ask for password and ask if you want to buy season pass for whatever price it is. If you have already bought it, no problem, just select yes, enter password and then another pop up will appear saying you have already purchased this and asking if you would like to download it again for free. You will not be charged again for it so no worries there. And even in the very worst case scenario, which is very very rare, that you do get charged again, you will get a full refund from it by reporting it to iTunes. Now this is extremely rare so no one should experience that, I'm only including it on the very unlikely off chance that it does happen to a rare case. Just report it and you'll automatically be refunded. But I don't expect it will actually to anyone here. Edit. On the locked out from episode two thing people have mentioned, it's just a server side thing. The update is out but the second episode itself hasn't actually been unlocked or made available to purchase so its not exactly released yet. More or less. There is more to it than that but it will only confuse the matter by going in to it as it is more related to the App Store release process similar to a new app. Midnight PST seems to be the intended release of the second episode as such so its unlikely to be accessible till then even if you have updated and restored the season pass. Hold on till then basically.
Yeah, there does seem to be a problem in general. My season pass is fine but I still can't play the game. Episode 2 is still locked and there's nothing I can do to progress.
Oh I got the same thing. I had to repurchase season pass but it did say i already have it so hopefully they don't bill me. But now it shows episode 2 is locked... not sure if I have to play through the end of ep 1 again and then it will start?
This is definitely not working on either of my devices. Restore purchases does absolutely nothing, at least not right now. I've tried a number of times. No effect whatsoever! Still locked out of the Season's Pass--not just the second episode, but the entire previously-purchased Season's Pass!
I think we will just have to wait. Everyone appears to have the same problem and the devs are aware of it and they're trying to fix things.
Hmm, you have me stumped on that one then. I only did the restore purchases as a cautionary measure and then selected the season pass which then followed the process I mentioned. The season pass I'm selecting is the one under the shopping cart icon, not the one under the play button. That's the only variable I can think of. Once I followed the process the second episode is still locked out which is just in relation to the edited info on my other post but under the play button icon where the episodes are listed with the season pass, I have this ☑ in the bottom right hand corner of the season pass and the same thing briefly pops up in the season pass tab under the shopping cart icon. It doesn't stay on in the season pass under the shopping cart icon but it does stay with the season pass under the play icon. There will be no visual feedback on screen when selecting restore purchases so don't worry about that part but when selecting season pass under the shopping cart icon, it should really go through the process. The only reason I can think of it that's it's not is that there is some communication error between your devices and the server or else the season is already there and not registering. A delete and reinstall should solve it. I know that's a pain but that's about the best I can think of as I am a bit stumped as to why its not doing it for you aside from the server issues they are having themselves. Double check if the season pass under the play button has that tick mark. If it doesn't, hold on till midnight PST if you can. And if at that stage it's still not downloading the season pass stuff, a delete and reinstall is the only real option because something has gotten corrupted somewhere along the line during the download and a reset from a reinstall would be the only real solution sorry to say. Edit. Let me know if any of that works because I am a bit stumped as to why its not going through the iTunes purchase process that I mentioned that doesn't seem to be happening for you. That would be an unusual one that I'd be curious as to what rectified it. It would be separate from the the devs server side of things and more iTunes related by the looks of it.
Ok so it seems like it's just a matter of waiting a while until Camo gets the servers and the Ep2 files up and running on their end. I still haven't played the game, they do say the last Ep will be out during winter. I'm thinking just waiting til winter and get the complete game in one go. It just seems like it would end up being a pretty fragmented experience playing one part of the game, waiting 5-6 months for the next part and so on (I'm guessing these episodes aren't "self contained" mini stories or anything so..). But it is tempting though

Yeah, fingers crossed! Otherwise, I'll wait until tomorrow, then try it again. The Season's Pass lost the checkmark after the update process (and I did make sure it was there before updating) and hasn't regained it yet! Hopefully whatever "receipts fix" camouflaj is working on will do the trick.
Good to know but it would've been nice to hear this from the official République, @Camouflaj account. I'm following them and so far they're not saying much. I didn't think to check one of the dev's accounts instead. Good thing someone did! I did report my issue as a bug directly though.
Yes,is has to be downloaded from within The App,same for future episodes,they update The app cause some New features for EP 1..
I get it that we must wait a few hours for episode 2. but is it intended that now I can no longer play episode 1 from where I was (finished it and still looking for collectibles) ?
There is no checkmark after the season pass with mine either, and I did buy the season pass a number if months ago when it was on sale for 99 cents. I wonder what they mean by "wait a few hours". I did get that message that I would not be charged a second timeframe I tried to purchase, but if I tried to proceed, it asked me if I wanted to purchase it for $14.99. I will wait until after midnight my time, and try again.
If I understand it correctly, this issue has pretty much broken everything. Episode 2 is locked, Episode 1 is inactive, and there are some problems with the season pass / restoring purchases. I think there is going to be another app update to fix this stuff.
Argh, the update won't download! Hmm, maybe that's a good thing since people seem to be losing episode 1 progress...
ugh. I'm finally downloading but something worries me, I had to "buy" episode 2 even if I have the season pass. I hope I won't be charged 4,49 since apparently it's rare and almost 1 in a million chance
Ep 2 showed as locked for me but now it only gives me the option to buy it? I am afraid to go through with it in case it does actually purchase it in addition to the season pass, or does anyone know if it just picks up and gives me it for free?
