I freaking give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 hour download on fuc... dial up, and then it freezes and I have to re freaking download it. SCREW THIS CRAP! Ugh... what the hell.
Wow. Well at least you'll have something to shoot at when you get it settled. I honestly can't even imagine dial up anymore. I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I would seriously feel like I was Amish or something if I still had to deal with dial up.
How do you think I feel ... Mom won't even let me pay for freaking high speed. This little failed download has happened before, not on small downloads either.
WHAT A GAME! Having watched the most miserable man on planet in the YouTube video playing the early build, I wasn't overly sold on this one. (I suggest getting an official video out there sharpish) But don't let that put you off! highly addictive! 5 star rating from me! Let's quit the history arguments on this thread please... not to be dismissive of past atrocities but this forum is about games, the good, the bad and the downright ugly! Thanks all!
I don't know...never tried it...I have a credit card if this is any good!? Well...it IS violence...the german government has great issues with videogames...you should listen to their statements...it's freaking hilarious... The discussion always resurfaces after rampages or things like that...especially if those are committed by teenagers...the first things blamed are videogames (especially Counter Strike...for what reason soever). But the nazi content does the rest...if they can't censor something because of violence then it's WW2-stuff... I know that we have to live with the burden of history...but this is ridiculous. I mean: we always have to watch out what we're saying because often we're then just labeled as nazis... So maybe that's why they are so over overcautious with nazi content...but come on: we're all grown-up (at least the most of us)... As you see...we could discuss this topic the whole night and would'nt come to an end...
Crap! I need help! I'm pretty far into the game and am down in the sewers. For those that have been that far, I've just picked up the gold key and am going to unlock the gold door. Before I unlocked the door, I saved my game just because new unlocked doors can have some pretty difficult sections after them. Well, when I open the door, it starts into a cut scene... Starts but nothing happens! The enemy on the other side looks like he's about to speak, but never does. Okay, so I hit Skip and the game locks up! Thinking it's a one time bug, I reboot my iPod Touch 2G and restart from my save point. Open the door, cut scene starts, same problem!!! I've tried saving in different spots, backtracking and coming back, but it always freezes! I REALLY don't want to have to delete and reinstall the app since I would lose my save game and I'm about 6 - 7 hours into it. Any ideas? Has this happened to any one at other parts of the game? I'm going to try to submit a problem report from iTunes, but since it's EA, I probably won't get much of a response. I make take a video of the problem if I have some time later. I'm so bummed!
wait, dial-up is like 10bucks right? I think the basic AT&T DSL is like $15 the first year or something....
If you've still got dial up you should probably be connected to a rotary phone. You should probably also be enjoying a nice mint julep on the davenport while listening to the Amos and Andy show on the radio.
I just bought the game, played 5 minutes of it and LOVED IT!!!!!!! interesting way of playing Wolfenstein....i think is time i set a passcode lock on my phone before my gf deletes it cuz I'm gonna be playing it pretty often..
I know of some offices that still maintain separate dial up connections as back ups in case something goes wrong. I don't know what, exactly, would go wrong, but to each their own. Last time I used dial up must've been...I dunno...almost five or so years ago. Used it in a vain attempt to sign into the fan created servers for Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast. I could never get it up and working. And yes...there are still fan created servers for that game, apparently. Yet another game that Sega should think about bringing to iPhone/touch but most likely won't
