Thanks for the feedback. I’ll be adding separate aim and fire settings to an upcoming release in the next few weeks.
If you want to get 100% complete in the campaign (day and night difficulty x 9 stages, collect all weapons and get a completed badge next to you name on multiplayer) I would say about 6 hours. If you cheat and know where all the pickups are then shorter. Then there are 2 multiplayer modes with 6 maps.
Version 1.3 will be available in the next few days. It will feature 2 new changes: 1) Smaller map in play mode to give more room for aiming. 2) More traditional dual stick shooter style aiming mode option. Here is a quick preview of the new mode: The new dual stick mode will be accessible in the options menu by selecting “Aim Mode Advanced”.
Android Version 1.3 with these changes are now live on Google Play. iOS version as usual takes a few days due to Apple review.
First of all, wanted to say thanks for implementing the dual stick shooter style controls. Appreciate you listening to feedback. Was wondering if “auto fire” could be where it just fires when you move the stick as opposed to only coming on when there’s a target? I understand if not. Just seems a bit strange coming from other shooters. One thing I definitely suggest you change is when you make objectives, show a message somewhere on the screen while you still play. It is is really distracting and takes you out of the game to have the pause menu come up every time you meet an objective. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for your hard work!
Thanks Anthony - great feedback again. Will take this into account also for future releases. BTW when you play though in expert mode, the messages do not pop up - but I agree with your suggestion. Alex
Thanks again for this precious feedback! I have taken both suggestions on board and I think you are right - both these small changes make a big positive difference to the gameplay. Next release will include them!
1.4 has just been released for Android with the following improvements: What's New - Improved controls for dual stick (advanced aim mode) - Reduced pop-up interruptions with objective updates in campaign mode. - Improved power saving (battery usage reduction) - General bug fixes iOS should be available in next 24 hours also. Also a reminder Reflex Unit 2 is also available for Oculus GO and Rift and is cross platform multiplayer compatible. www.robosarugames.com
January Sale! Reflex Unit 2 is 50% off for a limited time: https://apps.apple.com/jp/app/reflex-unit-2/id1470171874?l=en
No plans currently. Whatever I make next will be a different IP. You can see what I am working on here: https://www.robosarugames.com/coming-soon
It seems Reflex Unit 2 has been renamed Reflex Unit 2+ and there is a new free version called Reflex Unit 2. It doesn’t appear to have IAP. I’m not sure if it’s ad supported or simply a demo version. New free version: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/reflex-unit-2/id1499660436
You beat me to it ;-) Reflex Unit 2 now has a free to play version for iOS and Android! The free to play version is the full game but ad supported. There is an optional unlock for the full game also. I wanted to name the free to play version something like “Reflex Unit 2 Free”, but Apple are against this kind of naming unfortunately. iOS Ad Supported Version: https://apps.apple.com/jp/app/reflex-unit-2/id1499660436?l=en Android Ad Supported Version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.robosarugames.reflexunit2Free&hl=en twitter announcement: https://twitter.com/robosaru/status/1232084634487250944?s=21
So now the ad supported version has an IAP ($2.99) to unlock ad free, but the app itself has gone up from free to $2.99. That has to be a mistake right?
