For those of you who have had your iPod for a while (like people with first or 2nd gens) I would like you to think about the games with a lot of effort put into them, that one could consider "the best". Mainly, to me, these games were older, and very original and usually weren't very popular (with some exceptions). For now I'll make a list of my first page, because these are my favorite games. Enviro-bear 2010 So long Oregon! Spider: The secret of bryce manor Touchgrind Canabalt Zen bound 2 Eliss Jet car stunts Magnetic Shaving Derby Kometen Rolando Cod: zombies Labyrinth 2 Edge SB: Sword and SWORCERY Beat it! Some other honorable mentions include: Hook Champ Super Quick Hook Minigore Dungeon Raid Gloop Phoenix Wright (should be number 1, but I beat it...) Game Dev Story Doom classic Street Fighter IV Please discuss this. I don't really know why games are becoming...well... More like "pick up and play" games. They don't really keep you hooked and have no intention to, the developers seem more capitalist than caring about their game. So either prove me wrong with a list of recent notable games that are creative, long, exciting, and addictive, or agree with me and mention some more older games. And for you developers reading this...use this as a guide, instead of making really bad games that any 11 year old can make. My main point is: Games are becoming worse and worse, the older games for the iPhone/iPod seemed better. The main point of this thread is to reflect, to remember when you didn't really care about graphics, and maybe replay some creative games.
