Eurogamer shouldn't even count in Metacritic. No way in hell is the game an 8/10. Maybe they have a star rating of 4/5 or something.
Have you read the review? It says they didn't play the multiplayer mode at all. What kind of shit operation are they running? Multiplayer included would easily add another 1 point onto the score.
With free roam, definitely another point. Can't wait for the co-op DLC. Da shiz whiz, wanna play some Gol- oh, right.

Suddenly in love with the multiplayer. There're some guys that're ridiculous though. I came in second in a free-for-all match with my posse, and a friend of mine that's mediocre at all other games came out on top with 35.
Yup, it doubles regen of dead eye. I'm pretty pissed though. One of the things you need to do to unlock it (the code finally worked by the way) is to kill this one bounty target. It's usually the first guy you see in the game and since the game doesn't track past stuff you did, it doesn't show I killed him in the checklist. Apparently I'll have to start the game over to get the outfit.
You know If I was to give it a score honestly right now it would be an 8.5 out of 10... Here is a couple of reasons why I would say the game is very good but not AAA 9.5 quality.. 1. You cant swim! Seriously what are back in 1993? There are so many cool things we could have done with swimming in RDR.. (Horse crossings), Treasure Hunts, Drown some thugs etc... Think about it 2. Inability to "change the story" hear me out.. If this was a real next gen sandbox If I killed all the towns lawmen (which I did) I should be in charge of the town... Once in charge I should be able to control things in town..Some missions would be gone but new ones would appear. (take a cut of sales etc) but no.. endless lawmen keep coming until your dead (Funny since in San Andreas we could take over areas of town but now we cant) 3. Side missions happen way to fast.. When riding from town to town I go as fast as possible.. I see side missions but usually by the time I slow down and get to them the good guys are dead and Im left just killing everyone.. How about letting me get there and than playing the mission out? 4. Missions are pretty boring.. Probably due to the nature of the timeframe but almost all missions do the same thing.. track bad-guys, hunt bad guys with bad AI, Capture or Kill boss..(Yes missions later on do change and get better but I would bet more than a few people become bored of the game missions and leave never finishing it) Now the game is great.. Im just saying it's not perfect nor a major advancement in the single player gamemode over GTA IV or San Andreas very similar in structure. Game should be an 8.5 or 9.0 but not 9.5 or 10/10 as some press are giving it....
The horse feels kinda finicky, but then again, I've never used a horse in a video game that tries to mimic reality.

Man, you guys got screwed on the bonus content, it's all on the disc. Put my code in and instantly had my guns, horse and costume with no download. Maybe they'll release it in future.
You definitely should. It's actually better than I expected once you get past the kinda annoying Bonnie McFarlane. All the secondary characters are fun to listen to and the levels are more interesting. The traveling gets a little tedious, though.
Woo hoo! I finally got the game today and it's awesome! I'm kinda ashamed to admit I don't have a LIVE account but I might start one up just for this game's multiplayer.
I was surprised today, when this got delivered. I was expecting a couple of extra days to wait because I chose free delivery, not the extra money to get it on it's release date in UK (today).The people who paid extra for delivery on Amazon got ripped off, lol. Or maybe I was just lucky. Anyway, the game is great. Best PS3 game I've played by far. I love hunting and capturing wild horses. I spent ages playing poker too. One thing I'm finding extremely difficult is the horse-shoe tossing. It seems impossible to even get it in the sand pit, let alone get it caught on the post.
