Red Dead Redemption

I've been following RDR for over a year now, I'm fully expecting to praise the hell out of it... it feels so close now...

I'm surprised how much they got out of the setting. You'd think it was mostly dull and barren but early reports are saying the environment is full of new things to find and experience. Lots of awe-inspiring locations.

...and throwing a lasso around a guy then dragging him behind your horse is epic

 

They should have Red Dead Revolver for the iphone, MGST style. It would be awesome, and I think it would work perfect that way

 

Yeah, maybe not a direct port, but the Dead Eye shooting system would work pretty well.

 

I have also been waiting for this one for a while now. I was going to get Call of Juarez, but then I realised that it isn't a free roaming type game like GTA.

I can't wait for this one, I get bored of the city environments of GTA games (i.e - GTA: IV) but this is different.

I am more of a scenery, wildlife, nature guy than a city slicker

 

I know. That's why I think if it was like MGST, it would work very well (maybe). Not many people would like it but it would work for this device. I hope Rockstar games does something like that... and expand more their games into the app store.

That's why I was more into Red Dead Revolver and not GTA. The sceneries are always the best part in a game.

 

Red Dead Revolver wasn't totally free roam though, it was closer to something like Fable. Areas you can explore a bit but ultimately you're led down one path. They seem to have changed a lot for the better with this new one.

 

This, just cause 2, bad company 2, and modnation racers are top of my list right now

 

Just Cause 2 is looking awesome. I wasn't too impressed with the ModNation beta though... it was a bit too childish. LittleBigPlanet managed to pull it off somehow but ModNation feels more like a Wii game to me.

 

It's on my list, but nowhere near the top. Waiting mainly for Just Cause 2 and Split/Second.

 

Anyone know if there's any more news on Hitman 5?
I love the series, I own 4 of them on PC, but I'd love to see a next gen version with updated graphics on my PS3.

 

Since I mentioned Just Cause 2 earlier in this thread... the demo is out now on 360/PS3/PC. 35 square miles to play with (400 sq mi in the full game), San Andreas was 18 sq miles for those who don't keep up with map sizes.

 

Yeah, I downloaded that earlier.
The scenery is nice. And driving around in an auto-rickshaw is so fun

 

Sky-diving 3000 feet out of an exploding helicopter = good game.
