It is, but I still play from time to time(mainly offline) and hope we get the Episode 3 update soon because I'd rather have this than Starfront(Yeah I said it!). I enjoy this better overall and the file size is not even comparable. I do hope for GC support and anything else they decide to add into Episode 3 because I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait. Koostra SAVE US!!! EDIT: Last info I could find on Red Conquest was posted by John on December 2nd: What Episodes 3 and 4 will bring to the table, that I can promise 100%, is: -you will get to know and understand the Green faction, and what makes them tick -expanded campaign, more than twice as many levels as there are now -concluded original story arc - Episode 4 will not be a cliffhanger So there you have it, a tidbit of information for today. Check back later for more posts, where I will discuss various design aspects! I'm trying something new here, bear with me... Source: http://w2.catinaboxgames.com/#blog/read/67
Like that he says he is "trying something new" ^^ But hay, you should really come online and play some! seriously! There is always someone who will get online and play with you if you just wait a little. I can play seweral games each day if I want to. Sometimes we'r even 8 players. The best time to play online seems to be (aprox): Greenwich Mean Time: 18:00-09:00 Central European Time: 19:00-10:00 Australian Eastern Time: 05:00-20:00 North American Pacific Time: 10 AM- 1 AM North American Eastern Time: 1 PM- 4 AM Just go online and wait a while. If no one shows up, then just try again a bit later. ^^ and you should join this fan group: http://forums.toucharcade.com/group.php?groupid=259 need more "active" 2nd fleet players. Its just me and shell online from 2ndF all the time Im either "Foehammer" or "343 Guilty Spark" online
Yea if someone wants to play a few matches just pm me and I can usually squeeze in a game or two. I get notified Instantly on pm's and mp works on 3G.
This is pure speculation: Major update with episode 3 and 4 with most if requests implemented, iPad support and simplified control scheme. Since the game didn't make any money I'm thinking these updates are being done only with extra time. So probably we won't see anything until the end of the year. I'm guessing more time is being put into new titles to put some food on the table As it is Res conquest is a great game but its greatest strength (controls) is it's own weakness. Im thinking that theyre planning the next update to be as awesome and filled with content so hopefully it can generate some revenue
I've had this game on my ipod for so long and not touch it because of the steep learning curve (And i don't really play RTS / TBS games) / lack of time . However , I've decided that I will allocate some time everyday to read that in depth tutorial on this game . Probably add this game to my sig as well
Best RTS hands down. The control also turned me off for a long time when I first bought. I actually didn't get back to trying it again until the update for the second campaign came out. Put some time into and soon enough, I'd beaten every single player I could find online, even the mighty Vingdoloras :]. It's still the best RTS today. I just wish it got the attention it deserved. Truly one of the hidden gems of the AppStore. The design and controls are perfection for the iOS.
Just decided to finally try this on my iPad 2. All I can say is holy shit. Now this is how an iOS RTS is meant to be played. Just spent an hour going through challenges and missions, and it felt like I was in god mode the whole time. 2x mode works perfectly with this game due to the amazing controls, and the graphics still retained its quality for the most part. Really wish this game wasn't dead right now though. I hope the developer does another one of those free for a day promotions in the near future so there's a surge of online activity again. In any case, people weren't kidding when they said RTS games were awesome on the iPad. About to grab LASW HD and Starfront HD. Freaking pumped. The experience is significantly better than on the iPod Touch. But yeah, wow, I am impressed. I really hope more quality RTS games will be released in the future for the iPad. But yeah, if anyone still plays and wants to catch a 1vs1, I promise I will break you xP.
Also, it's the first time I've ever played the game with headphones, and all I can say is that the soundtrack is insane.
Broke on the Blue Defense mission on iPod. Can't play the game anymore, crashes, won't even load. Something's gone wrong. I'll see how it is on iPad...
