iPad Red Conquest - (by Cat in a Box Games)

Discussion in 'iPhone and iPad Games' started by wootbean, Dec 12, 2009.

  1. I am having crashing problems when the game tries to return to a game in progress :/

(That and the game never starts again)

You don't return to games in progress. That means the other person is still playing you even though the games over on your iPod. It's an occasional bug.

Is anyone up for a game? I'll be hosting 1v1 with my friend, join for 2v2 guys.

Can't wait, this can satisfy my rts needs again until starfront comes out. That's gonna be the defining online rts, but for now, can't wait until people are flocking online.

I'm guessing you don't play rts because this is nothing compared to pc rts. And nothings confusing about it..there's two extremely detailed tutorial levels plus an in game manual..also the controls are the best in honestly any game i have seen. It's built ground up for the idevice, a true hidden gem. I spend over $50 a month, meaning I have to flush games out by the dozen, but this ones been here since the first day. A top 5 for me definitely.

I personally prefer "Hello Kitty: I hate this world"
It's an incoming RTS game where you play with many lovely kitties in order to exterminate the human race living on this damned world

I've played countless RTS on the iPhone and while LASW and warfare Inc are good, Red Conquest! Was made specifically for the iPhone. While this results in a game with steep learning curve, once mastered, the micro-management and unit control of this game are amazing. This is not a game where you'll have 100's of units. But a smaller more manageable group. It's real fun :)

havent played the game, wasnt interested in graphics. i am DLing it now and i will say that making this game free for a day was definitely a smart move. more people online, word of mouth and you'll hopefully get the attention that most people say you deserve

Hell yeah man, and that's just a rts should be all about, micromanagement. This game has the most precise controls offered by any game and really allows you to control your army the way you want to.

    i agree.

i'm pretty sure i'll take the time to desensitize myself to everything that's going on, but even the tutorial is a series of WTF's.

i've played scores of RTS games over the years on many platforms and this is definitely unique. i'm sure after a little bit of play time, everything will make sense, but as a noob, this game is intimidating.

i'm looking forward to reading those support pages after i get myself a little experience. lots of positive feedback, so i'm pretty excited.

    thanks!

It is intimidating but if you really spend some time learning the INS and out. The gameplay is very rewarding :). PM me or ask questions here and I'll try my best to answer them
