Well, since I had to restore my iTouch, I've barely gotten into episode two. I'm on "White Knight" now.
oh, that was sort of a pain. If you want a hint highlight but try it atleast once first. Attack the red planet(persephone) before attacking the white planet (the moon).
Is this a mistake or ment to be like this? Is the Green race to overpowered? ie does it completely crush Red and Blue?
i think the carrier/foundry thing is meant to be that way. And yes, i crushed every single opponent in pinwheel using green. it's probably only even when it's green versus green. that's why some of us will only use green online when it's okay with other players.
Yeh I do remember you Ace_Of_Spades. I think we had connection problems hehe. I'd like to join the group. I'm going online if anyone wants to play.
Thoughts on Online Community Building Aside from the server issues, I've stumbled into a behavior pattern stalemate that makes the online community a lot more sparse than it could be. When I open up the online multiplayer screen, it shows the server and the number of people already on the server, which right now is usually zero. While great information to have, since it is zero I don't bother logging in and just go back to single player mode. The count consequently stays at zero. The next person does the same thing, meaning the only games that get traction are primarily prearranged affairs. This problem goes away when the online community reaches a critical mass, but until then, I think a potential solution is found in Sniper vs. Sniper Online (Com2Us) - you can setup your desired match, and it will keep looking while you continue to play the single player mode. Once a match is found, it will notify you and you can accept to play the online match. It seems Red Conquest would be perfect for this implementation: The single player mode already has perfect state-saving when exiting, so you wouldn't have to worry about loosing progress by accepting a match The community has not reached the critical mass, making such a feature all the more useful An extension of this feature would be push notifications - being able to invite offline friends to a match would probably be a given (are there push notifications for this yet? I haven't tried this...), but what about registering for random matches through push? There's a devil in the details for that, I'm sure, but certainly an interesting thought. Granted this is the first weekend that the multiplayer version has been released, and the online community will only expand, but I see these things as enhancing the experience overall both before and after that critical mass point. Thoughts?
I totally agree with you on that airhead. It would be sweet to be surfing he web and then get a push notification "Airhead3 has invited you to a Red Conquest match" and then you could just join in. I thnk some people mightve been turned off the multiplayer because there are some bugs and glitches. But while we wait fer the critical mass I'm going to keep organizing games. Anyone want to play right now?
