Will we see any new units or gameplay elements for the two already existing factions? And (I didn't get any answer last time I asked this question), do we have any details about the green faction? Like; Do they need MVs? Or do they auto-regenerate? Or are they unable to regenerate, but they a´have high defense? Or attack?
I actually rather not have a spoiler. I prefer to find out when the app is released, and I can discover it in my own experience. Preferences aside - I imagine the dev will nevertheless keep this concealed until at or around launch.
Itll be interesting to get a whole new faction at the same time multiplayer comes out. It'll change everything
Sadly, no! Up until recently, we had some major problems with the online multiplayer servers. That was fixed yesterday, and now I'm working on the in-game chat UI! so we're zeroing in here, and I still hope to submit fast enough to get it in for the end of march, but it might slip to early April if I need to spend more time on it to male it perfect.
thats not bad. I dont mind waiting till april for a good online experience. Were you able to incorporate push notifications to invite for a game? Or something like that?
I purchased the game on the first day, finished it within five and have waited for the update since then. Can't wait for for it! Congrats on a great game BTW.
Take as long as you need to get it right, I still can't believe that you're not just adding multiplayer but chat, lobbies and friend lists as well!
I'm very happy to announce that Red Conquest Episode 2 will be submitted today, as a free update for episode 1 purchasers. If you wait until it comes out to buy it, it's going to be on sale for a limited time as soon as the update hits! New features: -Online multiplayer -Episode 2 - a whole extra arc of story-driven levels! -More challenge levels -Green - a whole new, brutally vicious faction! -A ship glossary - now you can browse the stats for the 26 different ships in the game! -all-new music for the blue levels, and some peeks at the "green" theme music coming in episode 3! Notes: -online multiplayer works over 3G/Edge connections, not very high bandwidth, and the game is very lag-tolerant in general. -online multiplayer works as a matchmaking service, so you can specify what type of game you'd like to play, and the server will set you up with someone else playing that type of game. -you can also search for and list games on the server based on those parameters, and pick the game you want from a list. -A basic friends list has been implemented, so after playing with someone, you can request to be their friend, and later invite them to a game. -push notifications for game invites are NOT implemented in this update, but they will be coming in future updates for sure. -the ship glossary, with 7 red, 9 blue and 10 green ships, shows ALL relevant statistics for each ship: -what that ship builds -what builds it -range of attack, healing, support, formations, sight, harvesting -cost, build time -healing amount -movement speed -upkeep cost -initial and maximum fighter formations -attack and defense proficiency (multipliers - some ships do better against fighters, for example) -secondary attack multipliers (ships like the battleship can target more than one ship at a time, but with less firepower) -in the ship glossary, if the ship type has an equivalent in another faction, you can quickly cycle through the factions, comparing all their stats easily. For a discussion on strategy, particularly regarding the new green ships, I'm posting over here. Happy gaming! I hope Apple approves it quickly!
ooh, I almost forgot: difficulty levels! -very easy -easy -normal -hard hopefully the reviewers will use "very easy", and approve it quickly.
been keeping an eye on this for some time. will surely fork out once the update goes live. cant wait!
Hmm, not sure I would fork out for the sale unless it is $0.99, the games probably great but there are so many other options. Hopefully I'll get lucky.
